Torte by Mirjana

Mirjana's love for baking and design was born when she was a young girl. She comes from a Croatian and Serbian family that instilled in her the value of hard work and creating something beautiful from scratch, her earliest memories are of watching her Baka (grandmother) work as a cake decorator and Mirjana's mother as a seamstress.

Mirjana went on to have a successful career working for Australian fashion houses such as Collette Dinnigan and Sass & Bide which gave her an appreciation for the design process and an eye for detail that she now applies to for first love – Baking!

All the cakes and delicacies that come from the Torte kitchen are lovingly hand crafted by Mirjana. She uses the finest available ingredients like whole milk butter, free range eggs from her own chickens and honey harvested in her mother’s garden.

Mirjana appreciates that clients are looking for something personal to commemorate a special occasion which is why each cake is made to order by consultation.

Located in Melbourne, Mirjana also travels all over Vic and interstate for a travel fee.
