Pepi’s was born from a love of Italian food, family and celebration.

For founder Giuseppe 'Joe' Tarzia, the inspiration came from growing up around the kind of Italian weddings where food was never simply part of the day. It was the heart of it. Tables were abundant, recipes carried history, everyone was fed generously, and hospitality was deeply personal.

Based in Sydney, Pepi’s has grown into one of Australia’s most distinctive boutique Italian wedding and event caterers, helping pioneer a more theatrical, immersive and quality-led approach to wedding food within the Sydney catering landscape.

Our philosophy begins with authenticity. We are passionate about Italian food and deeply respectful of where it comes from, its regions, traditions, ingredients and the simplicity that makes it extraordinary.

From mozzarella stretched by hand in front of guests and pasta finished live, to abundant antipasti, bistecca, porchetta, handmade cannoli, granita and bespoke menus inspired by regions throughout Italy, food at a Pepi’s event is designed to become part of the experience.

Beyond weddings, Pepi’s has also created experiences for internationally recognised luxury and Italian fashion, fragrance and beauty houses including Miu Miu, Acqua di Parma, Santa Maria Novella and AERIN.

These worlds naturally influence the way we think about events. Not simply as catering, but as a complete sensory experience where food, styling, service and atmosphere work together.

Whether we are creating an intimate Italian feast, collaborating on a highly considered private wedding, or delivering a culinary experience for an international luxury house, our approach remains deeply personal.

Today, Pepi’s is the exclusive catering partner at Redleaf Wollombi, caters a selected number of weddings in Melbourne, and accepts a limited number of destination weddings in Italy each year.
