“Kept for good. The bits you missed & the ones you felt.”
Maison Bisous (French for house of kisses) is an editorial wedding content studio founded by Amelia Aitkin-Deane, following a decade working across social media and brand marketing. That background brings a strategic understanding of storytelling and aesthetics, with an instinct for creating content that feels engaging, emotive and worth returning to. Maison Bisous has documented weddings across Australia and Europe.
Fashion has always shaped Amelia’s eye. Growing up alongside a sister immersed in Australian labels including Bassike and Lover, Amelia developed an early appreciation for clothing, styling and design. That grounding means she instinctively understands the visual language of a wedding… how fashion, florals, tablescapes, architecture and setting come together to shape the atmosphere of the day.
Captured primarily on iPhone, Maison Bisous takes an editorial-documentary approach, working almost entirely fly-on-the-wall and allowing each celebration to unfold without interruption. The result is considered without feeling constructed: the moments you remember, the reactions you didn’t see and the details that made the day what it was. Immediacy is an important part of the experience, meaning couples can relive their celebration almost immediately and return to their memories over and over again.
