Soya

Soya is a Melbourne-based wedding florist and floral studio, founded in 2019 by artist and florist Kevin Twan. Kevin grew up on an Australian native flower farm, and that early relationship with native Australian blooms, seasonality and raw materials still sits at the heart of everything Soya makes. It's filtered through his ongoing interest in fashion, contemporary art and Melbourne's wider creative scene.

Soya works across intimate elopements, full-scale weddings and large installations, treating each project as a creative collaboration rather than a fixed brief. Kevin and the studio favour unexpected textures, sculptural forms and considered composition over convention - but always in service of the flowers themselves, not despite them. Every design stays grounded in a respect for traditional floral craft and the natural materials it starts with.

For Kevin, that tension between experimentation and restraint is the whole point: florals that evoke real emotion, shape the atmosphere of a day, and leave people with something to remember - not just decorate the room. Since founding the studio, he's continued to grow that practice through new collaborations and creative challenges, one Melbourne wedding at a time.
