Photography: The Saums
A meditation on softness, stillness, and modern romance, this wedding editorial, styled by IDO Events and photographed by The Saums, finds beauty in quiet restraint. Set against the faded grandeur of Berlin’s Clärchens Ballhaus, where time has left its fingerprints on every surface, the narrative embraces imperfection as part of its charm.
At the heart of the project is butter yellow, woven artfully through every detail, from the tablescape to the overall sensory experience. Handled with delicacy, the palette brings warmth and richness without excess, allowing the scene to feel both opulent and simple. More than mere decoration, carnations and peonies are arranged as sculpture, while the venue’s cracks and textures remain intentionally exposed. Light and space move through it all, carving moments of intimacy and depth. Each frame exists in a gentle balance between dream and reality, closeness and distance, clarity and blur.
Here, love is captured not in perfection but in presence, a reminder that beauty often lives in the unpolished and the unspoken.
