Two years after the world learned that Nicola Peltz (a movie star and, concurrently, the heiress of a multi-million dollar capital) and Brooklyn Beckham (the scion of one of the most famous and fashionable families in the UK) are dating, the couple played a wedding that befits the grandiosity of their romance. Love birds exchanged vows at the Peltz family’s estate, surrounded by the most distinguished guests: Serena Williams, Eva Longoria, Gordon Ramsay, Gisele Bundchen and former Spice Girls Melanie C and Melanie Brown. Although only British Vogue was allowed to the wedding (by the way, in the person of photographer German Larkin), we collected a lot of interesting details (from the ins of the bride’s dress to the cost of the banquet) about, perhaps, the main celebrity wedding of 2022.
About the Wedding Attires
Fans of the couple hoped that newly minted mother-in-law and designer Victoria Beckham would take on the attire of Nicola Peltz (as well as at the engagement). But the bride entrusted the choice of dress to stylist Leslie Fremar, who also works with Charlize Theron, Julianne Moore and Léa Seydoux. Peltz walked down the aisle in a Valentino dress with a spectacular train, which was decorated with the evil eye (a talisman from her mother) and a message embroidered in blue thread (homage to the “something blue” tradition). She completed the look with a long lace veil, matching gloves and satin white Versace platform shoes. Of the jewelry, besides, of course, the engagement ring, the bride wore only massive diamond stud earrings.
Still, the wedding could not do without VB dresses. Victoria Beckham herself chose a slip dress of metallic color with elegant lace. She also dressed Eva Longoria, actress and longtime friend, in a fitted black dress from the spring-summer 2022 collection and Mia Regan, model and girlfriend of Romeo Beckham, in a floor-length blue slip dress.
Brooklyn Beckham wore a Dior day tailcoat with a white vest, bow tie and pocket square. On the lapel of his jacket, he pinned an Anita Ko emerald-cut diamond chain, a gift from new parents-in-law. And completed the look with classic lacquered derbies. On the wedding suit, a surprise from the bride awaited him - a tag with a special message on the lining, which Kim Jones added at the last moment.
About the Wedding Organization
The wedding was managed by Michelle Rago, whose celebrity clients include Jamie Foxx, Barry Levinson and Matt Damon. The celebration began with an intimate dinner in Florida, where the entire Beckham family arrived on Friday. On Saturday morning, Nicola Peltz was already walking hand in hand with her father to the chuppah, arranged in the family estate in Palm Beach, under Songbird, performed by a string orchestra. Bridesmaids Harper Beckham and other young relatives, dressed in flower girls’ dresses designed by Dominican Joel Diaz, helped her with a spectacular train. Everything went according to Jewish traditions (the Peltz family, as well as David Beckham’s maternal grandfather, are Jews): following the vows, the groom broke a glass as a sign of the irreversibility of the marriage, and then received the permission of the rabbi to kiss the bride in front of friends and family.
After the ceremony, they invited the guests to a cocktail to the sounds of a jazz orchestra. The reception was held in one of the halls, decorated with seasonal white sakura flowers. By dinner, the celebration moved to the wedding tent overlooking the ocean, which was decorated by HMR Designs with garden roses, peonies, miniature white ranunculus and hydrangea. Thierry Isambert, who had previously worked with Bill Clinton, took the menu over. The official part was not without traditional speeches and toasts, including those from the groom’s best man: Romeo and Cruz Beckham. Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham performed their first dance in their new status to the symbolic song Only Fools Rush In, about love at first sight and eternal vows. After that, Marc Anthony stood behind the DJ mixer, and the guests joined the couple on the dance floor. According to rumors, the wedding cost the parents of the newlyweds $4 million.
