Chelsea Gee is a photographer from California. Her strength lies in the ability to find beauty in the simplest things. She finds inspiration in minimalism, natural light, textures and human interaction. And Chelsea's latest personal photography project is proof of that. We decided to share her photo session - enjoy and take it apart for references.
"This editorial shoot was inspired by the modern bride. When I was dreaming up this concept, I came across this studio downtown Los Angeles called The Loft. It became my main inspiration for this shoot. I fell in love with the lime wash walls, natural light, city views, and unique furniture pieces. I knew it was going to give the shoot an elevated feel and allow for endless creativity. Abigail's gown is from Newhite. The silk material, and minimal design was a modern bride's dream. I paired it with a simple black suit. I think there is something so timeless and nostalgic about a black suit. Then, I intentionally picked minimal details that complimented the look as a whole. When we began shooting, I had the thought in mind that I wanted the photographs to tell a full elopement story. Leaving them feeling modern, timeless, and chic," says Chelsea Gee.
