Teresa Hirschel is a wedding photographer based in Frankfurt, Germany, and available all over Europe. Her work is really about people and the connection between them. She takes a mostly documentary approach to weddings, paying attention to the moments that happen naturally, while stepping in to guide you when it feels right.
Film has become a big part of her work over the years, and she loves the feeling and unpredictability it brings. Most of the time she shoots a mix of digital and film, but she also loves shooting entire wedding days on film and experimenting with different formats like 120mm, 16mm and Super 8.
More than anything, Teresa wants her photographs to feel honest, warm and a little nostalgic. She’s inspired by craftsmanship and the beauty of things made by hand, and she thinks that same feeling comes through in the way she photographs people.
