Zach & Dune

I don’t even know where to begin writing this review because I don’t think words will really do this duo justice. Zach and Dune are two of the kindest, most intentional, and creative people I have ever met. We hired them to capture our wedding weekend and the entire process was such a joy. From our first introductory video chat, I knew we were going to be in the best hands if we hired Zach and Dune for our day. They took the time to ask questions about my husband and I… really understanding our love story and who we are as a couple before our special day. The weekend of our wedding they brought a beautifully warm energy to our day. Their love and respect for each other is palpable and it made every photo and video feel collaborative. They also did an incredible job of making everyone feel confident being photographed. My husband was nervous about what that was going to feel like and they put him at ease within a few minutes. Zach and Dune’s style of photography/videography was exactly what we wanted for our day…an editorial/documentary style. We wanted the stunning classic portraits…but we wanted the rest of the photos to not feel like forced photo-ops, but instead to be true moments from our day so that when we look back, we remember what our day felt like, not just what it looked like. We don’t even have our full album or video back yet, but the photos and teaser video we do have are so perfect. I am abundantly grateful for Zach and Dune. If you are in Santa Barbara or even looking to fly in a photo/video duo for your wedding, I would highly recommend these two beautiful people for your day.

There are truly no words to express how absolutely incredible Zach and Dune are. If my husband and I could give them 1000 stars we absolutely would and even then it wouldn't be enough!!

From the very first time we met Zach and Dune and saw their portfolio we knew they were absolutely the best choice for us and were beyond excited to have them capture our wedding day in October 2025. Zach didn't just take photos, he captured the genuine emotion and sweet and soft energy of our wedding day with an artistic eye that is just truly unmatched. His ability to blend into the background while still directing us with ease made us and our family and friends feel so incredibly comfortable. Because of this, he was able to capture the most stunning and real moments that we will cherish forever.

Every single photo feels like a true masterpiece, perfectly balancing light, composition and the unique spirit of our day. We were blown away by his eye, his quiet positive energy and the sheer speed at which we got our film and digital gallery back. We seriously could NOT recommend Zach and Dune more and hope to have them continue to capture all of the big and special moments ahead. Take this as a sign to book them for your special day now!!!

The engagement shoot ended up being a true gift that I wasn't expecting to receive: they did such a perfect job of capturing us, making me feel seen and beautiful and my husband feel much more comfortable in front of the camera.

After getting our engagement photos back, all worries about looking awkward or unflattering melted away and we could just look forward to just being in the moment on our wedding day and celebrating with our family and friends.

And of course, on the day they did a fantastic job of being in the right place at the right time to capture every special moment in the most beautiful way. I am so grateful to have these photos of our wedding to cherish, always.
