Positioned neatly halfway between Florence and Siena, it is only 42 km from Florence airport, making it the perfect base to explore the Chianti countryside, with its picturesque hilltop towns, wine estates and welcoming locals. From the moment of arrival, you’ll be transported to the rich history of Tuscany: Vignamaggio is an estate with magnificent gardens, forests and agricultural land extending over more than 400 hectares on the hills between Greve and Panzano in Chianti.
After thirty years of neglect, Il Borgo di Vignamaggio has been meticulously restored, blending fresh, poetic décor with a deep sense of history. For centuries, Vignamaggio has hosted royalty, intellectuals, and celebrated parties, and today, it continues that tradition as an enchanting venue for gatherings.
Vignamaggio’s creative team worked with the best Tuscan artisans, creating a fairy tale union between classic and modern: the decor of Il Borgo is characterized by high quality materials, clean lines, and the scent of cypress permeating every space.
Warm colours and special details make each room unique, with nothing being left to chance. The furniture is hand-designed by our architects and crafted by Tuscan carpenters, upholsterers and artisans, in collaboration with the pride of Italian design: Viabizzuno, Davide Groppi, Fornace Brioni & Baxter.
