What La Villa Offers
As one of the best wedding venues in Piemonte, and with experience of more than 500 weddings, we understand exactly what it takes to host an amazing wedding. A beautiful venue is just the start. Behind the scenes, it takes a combination of detailed planning, smooth organisation, excellent catering and friendly staff. To be certain of this, we work a little differently from most venues by offering our own in-house Planning and Restaurant team. We provide a dedicated English speaking Planning team which from your first meeting, are with you every step of the way, helping find and negotiate with local suppliers, giving you advice and guidance on what works on the property, and how best to spend your budget and to bring your dreams to life. From our state-of-the-art kitchen, we also provide all catering and waitering in-house. Headed by a local Italian chef with Michelin starred training, our kitchen has a reputation for serving excellent food. Service is managed by an experienced Maître, who is a trained sommelier with extensive knowledge of the local wines. So, when the wedding day finally arrives, you can let go and fully enjoy your day knowing you and your guests are in the best of care.
Location
La Villa is centrally located in the Piedmontese winelands between Milan, Turin and Genoa. There are 4 airports within a 90 minute drive from the property, the closest, Milan Malpensa, being one of the most important international hubs for Italy.
Close to Mombaruzzo, famed for its Amaretti biscuits, the hotel sits in a typical Italian country landscape. Picturesque villages are dotted across the hilltops and everywhere are vineyards, hazelnut groves and small woodlands. The hotel offers an ideal base to explore the local wine cellars, taste the traditional cuisine, hunt for truffles or just enjoy the nature.
The rooms and interriors
La Villa offers 16 unique and different rooms, sleeping up to 36 guests. Each room has been carefully designed to retain as many of the original features as possible whilst incorporating modern facilities and amenities. Styled with floaty linens and soft silks, and furnished with hand-picked pieces of traditional, local furniture, all the rooms have an airy, timeless feel with some more unashamedly romantic than others. The overall sense is one of comfort and quiet, simple luxury.
For a further 10 guests, we offer La Villetta, a private property only a 2 minute walk from La Villa itself, with many other accommodation options available close by for additional guests.
The Grounds and Surrounds
The spacious grounds of La Villa are a mix of various, formal and country gardens, all suitable for parties up to 135 guests. They offer ideal spots for relaxing as well as the perfect backdrop for your wedding. The most popular wind-down areas include the spa, tucked into the old wine cellars of the hotel as well the Pool with its large terrace, bar and pizza hut nearby.
During weddings, the Ceremony space comes into its own. Carved into the hillside, it offers an intimate, quiet space amongst nature. With views over the valley towards hills and mountains behind, it is the perfect place to get married. For formal, religious ceremonies which call for a church setting, we are fortunate to have one of the most beautiful churches in the region only 5 minutes’ drive from the hotel. The San Giovanni Battista church in Fontanile can be used for both Catholic and non-Catholic ceremonies.
The Courtyard is an idyllic place for dinner. Walled on three sides covered in flowers, with soft lights twinkling above and vineyards spread out on the hills in front as the sun sets behind the Alps, it is a truly magical outdoors setting.
The pergola set above the pool offers the same views as the Courtyard and acts as a beautiful back-up plan in the case of bad weather as well as an amazing party space.
