Villa Clara is a historic private residence that sets a new standard in luxury, a secret gem located in the heart of Rome near Villa Borghese. The idea to build Villa Clara came to the engineer Adolfo Sebastiani in the 1910s. He took part in the development of the area that would later become known as the elegant Sebastiani quarter, but of all his projects, Villa Clara will remain the most grandiose and impressive.
Villa Clara became the main residence of a noble Italian family for several decades. Currently, it has been carefully restored, the historical elements of the decor have been preserved. Extravagant interiors created in Art Deco style are remarkable. Behind the historic facade of the 1920s, there are rare amethyst wall panels brought from Madagascar and the Urals, as well as an extensive art collection: Greek and Roman antique marble, Chinese and Japanese interior items.
The interior of each of the 4 suites of the villa is individually designed by renowned designer Jacques Garcia. Garcia's bold decisions reflect his love of Napoleonic extravagance. Rich fabrics, luxurious marble bathrooms, antique furnishings combine with vintage pieces from Lalique, Baccarat, Colombostile.
Indulge in a moment of tranquility and bliss in the traditional hammam, exercise or chill in the magnificent marble pool reminiscent of a Roman bath. Enjoy the sunset while sipping sparkling wine in the jacuzzi on the terrace with great city views. Visit the iconic landmarks of Eternal City, many of which are within walking distance of the villa.
Villa Clara is the ideal setting for small, exclusive events and weddings. The dining room is perfect for a romantic evening or a special celebration. The sophisticated rooftop terrace with panoramic views of Rome can also be used for dining under the stars or an unusual cocktail party.
