“Where flowers become art”
Daniel Benitez, founder of La Esencia de la Flor, is an artist and entrepreneur born in the province of Cádiz, Spain. He grew up surrounded by flowers in all their forms, colours and scents. His parents had always been closely connected to the floral industry, running a family business dedicated to the wholesale distribution of flowers, and it was they who first sparked his sensitivity to the world of floristry.
Even as a child, Daniel understood flowers not as a product but as a raw material full of possibilities. In them he found countless forms of expression and a language of his own, a way of communicating emotion without words.
In time that curiosity became a creative drive. He wanted to move beyond the traditional idea of floristry, not simply selling or distributing flowers but exploring the entire universe that could be built around them.
After the pandemic, that vision led him to forge his own path and place flowers at the centre of his artistic language. Working with colour, texture, form and volume, he began creating compositions that reach well past the ornamental, and La Esencia de la Flor was born out of that.
