Anna of Kiss from Fleur, a bespoke event design agency, is passionate about crafting completely unique celebrations. From each couple’s special love story to the vision that they have for their wedding, Anna is there every step of the way to design an event that will become a cherished memory forever.
On Getting Started
Coming from a fashion design background, I always had a passion for designing fabulous themed birthday parties. I started with baking cakes for events and weddings. Then the dessert table trend emerged from America and bespoke wedding design really took off as an industry. I was so excited for this new challenge and I slowly moved from birthday parties to dessert tables and then on to catered dinners and full-blown wedding celebrations.
On Her Wedding Planning Philosophy
It is the same passionate philosophy I still follow. I have not changed my style, my mission or even my handwriting since the very beginning. For me, creating a tailor-made wedding compares to the development of a fashion collection. To create a custom wedding from scratch for every couple, I start with making note of special details and matching those aesthetic choices with vendors from my handpicked selection of industry professionals. My goal is to enchant both my clients and their guests to such a degree that they can detach from reality and experience a dreamy, unforgettable day.
My philosophy is not to copy trends from Instagram or Pinterest, I want to design a wedding day in a way that emphasises the beauty of the venue and the story of the happy couple. It needs to look and feel luxury, individual and exactly how the couple imagined their dream wedding day.
I want to underline that the design and decor of the day itself should not distract from the couple’s story. Their special moment and their endless love is my main vision. With the ambiance and decor I want to emphasis their love, not to steal the show, like the decor at a corporate event should, for example. I see myself as simply an art director and producer working behind the scenes who make sure the day goes off without issue.

On Her Planning Process
First, we start very unromantically with the budget. The budget is very important and once we’ve ironed out those details, we move on to logistics like date and number of guests. After that, I will start to look for the perfect venue. I always try to be as true to the couple’s wedding vision as possible, which means I search tirelessly for details that suit perfectly.
On Her Fashion Background
I’ve become very good at reading my customer’s style and vision and setting it into motion. Similar to when you work in fashion or advertising, you have a target customer. The more you learn about that target customer, the better the end result will be. I get to know my couples because it helps me find the perfect location and vendors to create a wedding day in the style that they have described. As a wedding is a very intimate event, it’s important to choose the right vendors, like photographers and videographers, which match the couple’s desired aesthetic and personalities.
My fashion background also means that I can detect new and upcoming trends. I mix and match these influences with my client’s personalities to design a wedding that is never been seen before. I have so many ideas and concepts that I would love to develop and turn into reality. My ideas are virtually endless and this comes from my passion for what I do!
On When She Pushes the Boundary
When it comes to pushing the boundary, it depends the couple. I have to see what their focus and vision is for their wedding day. Is their focus on their ceremony and they have a very clear idea of what they want? Or do they have inspiration pictures of what they want their venue to look like? Perhaps their aim is to focus on the reception and enjoy an evening of partying with their nearest and dearest?
I want to help their vision come true, but I also want to offer additional ideas. As an industry expert, I have seen many weddings and this has given me a lot of insight.

On Destination Weddings
I offer bespoke event design across Europe, though I am specialised in Greece, as I live in Athens. There are a few places that I love but I think the ones that capture my heart the most are Italy, the Balearic Islands like Mallorca, and Belgium. I love cities with a fusion of style, heritage and a romantic feeling. There’s nothing like planning a wedding in an inherently romantic location!
On Her Most Cherished Events
All of my couples are very unique. When I speak to people who are not in the industry and they ask me about my job as a wedding planner, they imagine something really traditional and quite often boring. But when I show them the celebrations that I have planned, they are really excited and surprised that a wedding can be so custom made and doesn’t have to be traditional.
I have so many memories of so many events. I’ve planned everything from a very romantic elopement in Mykonos where we set up a private micro wedding by the beach with a private DJ, to a big wedding in Germany at Steigenberger Parkhotel, where the couple wanted to best party that anyone had ever been to! All of my events are special in their own way so I do not think I could ever pick a favourite! Or even a top ten!
I love being able to create individual concepts. Thats why I decided to switch from fashion design to wedding and event design. Every event is utterly unique and wonderful just as it is, I am just there to make the process so much more fun for the couple!
