Minimalism with a Twist
2025 will be the year when luxe minimalism takes center stage, gradually transforming the wedding scene. As Sunna Yassin and Mollie Jones Hennes, co-founders of Bash Please share, "Luxe minimalism is reshaping the wedding landscape, merging opulence with simplicity by focusing on high-quality materials and design while pairing down on excess. This trend emphasizes elegant, understated decor, where a few statement pieces or a single stunning floral arrangement take center stage rather than an abundance of decorations."
Nicole Amarise also envisions that 2025 will be defined by a refined, minimalist aesthetic. "I expect to see more couples embrace minimalism in their wedding setups, opting for simpler, more refined aesthetics, but still with intentional and experiential details," she says. "This minimalist approach will be balanced with a focus on intentional and experiential details, ensuring that every element, though understated, contributes meaningfully to the overall atmosphere and guest experience."
Vintage Decor
“In 2025 we are forecasting a strong focus on vintage-inspired classics of styling paired with organic textures in floral design,” highlight Demi Ware and Emily Harle, the creative force behind bespoke floristry company Harper Arrow. “A captivating blend of draped fabrics, metallics, ribbons, and pearls in tablescapes, alongside a daring push towards unique stationery.”

Unique Personal Moments
Laice Bollen, founder of Australian event planning, styling and management studio Place of LB, anticipates sustainability will be a major focus for 2025 couples. "I foresee investments into feeling over visual aesthetics, a continuation of unique personalized moments. We love the way the industry is ever changing, but it's always key to remember who you are and that a trend should sprout inspiration only. Unique moments are brought to life when you use your unique journey as inspiration."

Dramatic Drapery
All eyes will be on table linens! “From deep velvets, soft linen blends to piped and ruffled edging. A surge of dramatic billowing table and chair linen will be seen far and wide. Adding effortless shape and movement to the traditional table setting,” points out Jessie Walters, one of the founders of Ruby & James design studio.

Artistic Arrangements
Whimsical yet infused with contemporary sophistication, artistic arrangements are having a major moment right now, with experts predicting they'll become an even more popular choice in 2025. More florists are pushing the limits of traditional styles, crafting boldly unique centerpieces, bouquets, bar, and aisle arrangements that are true works of art in their own right.
Harper Arrow notes, “A strong focal point on non-traditional fruit, vegetables and floral elements will be ramped up, along with a fuller effect in ambient candlelight stealing the focus en masse.” Maria Figueira, the creative director of Oh, Maria Flores, also sees a shift towards more out-of-the-box floral arrangements. "I'm anticipating impactful flower installations, unexpected details paired with florals and vibrant shades will rule next year's wedding scene. I believe we are now in a time when two completely different styles are ruling the most stylish and beautiful weddings, if on one spectrum we have the ultra organic, naturalistic wedding and decor, and on the opposite side we have the sculptural, minimal and avant-garde concepts."

Multi-Day Events
Looking ahead, Ashley Smith, owner and planner of Ashley Smith Events, expects 2025 to bring a rise in elevated, multi-day celebrations. "There seems to be much more emphasis on gatherings that create more connection and have more quality time with guests," she explains. Rather than choosing traditional one-day weddings, where couples might not have the chance to connect with all their guests, she emphasizes that many are now leaning toward extended celebrations with the focus expanding beyond just the wedding day. "We are seeing that satellite events (rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, morning after parties, brunches, and more) are equally as important as the wedding itself," Ashley adds.
Sebastian Doblado Garcia, the founder of Tan Weddings Films, is noticing a similar trend, with more couples choosing destination weddings that last several days. "We’re seeing a rise in destination weddings where the focus is on creating a multi-day experience. These celebrations often span several days, allowing us to capture the entire atmosphere from welcome parties to post-wedding brunches creating a comprehensive and immersive film that showcases the essence of the event."
Focus on Hospitality
"Many couples seem to realize that the guest experience is the whole picture," says Ashley Smith. "They want their guests to have the best time possible and be as relaxed, comfortable, and harmonious with the setting and group as possible. They don't want their guests arriving late, or feeling pressured or rushed to be in places with rigid time frames. They want the guests to be treated well and thoroughly enjoy the experience."

Captivating Venues
Finding the perfect venue is one of the most important steps in planning your dream wedding. Bash Please foresee that more couples will be drawn to impactful venues in 2025. They explain: “Venues are selected for their inherent beauty and simplicity. This could mean choosing a chic, modern space with clean lines or a historic venue where the architecture speaks for itself. By minimizing the need for additional decor, more wedding investment can be allocated to creating high-quality guest experiences.”
Creating New Traditions
Wedding photographer Kristin Piteo is excited to see more couples creating new traditions instead of sticking with the old ones. “Going without bridal parties, the bride and groom getting ready together, private vows, and doing away with some events like cake cutting—couples are learning to create their own visions instead of feeling like they have to do what has always been done.”
Embracing Your Culture
Each culture is a tapestry of unique customs, traditions and rich history. In 2025 event planner and stylist Nicole Amarise expects to see even more couples celebrating and fusing their roots and cultural backgrounds with their events. “A beautiful trend we're forecasting is the incorporation of cultural traditions by multicultural couples! It's inspiring to see how diverse traditions are being celebrated and integrated into weddings in modern ways,” she says.
Photography & Videography
Wedding Content Creators
With Instagram, TikTok, and other social media platforms on the rise, the desire to share your special moments in real-time is stronger than ever. Wedding content creators are here to help with that, and their services are in high demand — with no signs of slowing down. “We are seeing more and more couples hire wedding content creators for their wedding and not only that but also for vendors. For Gen-Z, with the desire to capture moments more authentically, a wedding content creator captures moments for the couple unedited. For millennials, it's a way to share their most special moments for social media content. Just make sure to coordinate with your planner, photographer and videographer on this, especially if the WCC plans on bringing camera footage outside of iPhone footage,” says Nicole Amarise.
35mm Film
There's something truly special about the raw honesty and little imperfections that film photography brings. "We are still seeing the rise of film photography, with brides wanting to add second shooters that document just on film so they get a really good amount of film photography from their day on a 35mm film or even Medium format," notes wedding photographer Natalie Black of Agnes Black.

Cinematic Wedding Films
"Couples are increasingly seeking wedding films that go beyond simply documenting the day," says Sebastian Doblado Garcia of Tan Weddings Films. "They want cinematic, documentary-style films that tell their unique love story, capturing not just the big moments but the small, intimate ones that reflect who they are as a couple."
Candid Captures
Kristin Piteo emphasizes that photography is becoming more “fluid” and emotional, with less "scheduled time" for photos and more emphasis on artful, in-between moments. "Couples are realizing that photos are not only to capture their love story, but also to document the essence of their entire day — the environment, location, guests, and details. Every little thing creates a big impact on their day, and harnessing emotion in photographs has become a key factor when selecting a photographer," she explains. There’s a better understanding that "perfectly staged photos don’t always evoke feeling," and more couples are allowing the day to unfold authentically in order to fully connect with their photos.
Cakes & Catering
Aesthetic Food Experiences
Ruby & James anticipates that major wedding trends for 2025 will focus on enhancing the food experience for couples and their guests. "Fusing art and food with unexpected grazing stations, gourmet pasta bars, roaming oyster shuckers, and caviar shots. Allowing the fine dining experience to take center stage."

Artistic Cakes
Valentine Fodor of Vege Mamma encourages to open hearts to cake experiments in 2025. “The wedding cake trends I anticipate for 2025 include lots of piped flowers, fun sculptural shapes with multiple tiers and definitely some elegant and extravagant fondant moments.”
Yip Studio, Maria Amaria, Vege Mamma
Dome Shapes
Another cake trend on the rise is dome-shaped designs. A step away from traditional tiered cake styles, it's the perfect choice for intimate weddings. Fresh and a bit futuristic, dome cakes bring a new energy to the dessert table. Whether covered in smooth fondant or textured buttercream, adorned with herbs or fruit, a dome cake will make a striking, delicious centerpiece that's sure to impress.

Alternative Desserts
Say yes to cake alternatives in 2025! There are so many great options beyond the traditional wedding cake. Treat your guests to a creamy tiramisu with its coffee-soaked layers, delicious berry tarts, or light éclairs that are always a crowd-pleaser. A croquembouche tower can also be a showstopper of your evening, winning over even the pickiest guests.

Stationery
Slow Stationery
With a growing focus on sustainability, wedding stationery is also evolving to meet these demands. "What I would like to see as a trend is an attention to designs that are eco-friendly," says Nora, founder of Acqua & Ink. "Out with plastic and single-use materials such as acrylic menus and anything wasteful, to be replaced by a slow art form that is kinder to the planet." Think beyond traditional formats to include unique timeless calligraphy, unconventional text arrangements, and artistic touches that make your stationery distinctly personal and more intentionally considered.
Digital Invitations
While in contrast to the artisanal approach of slow stationery, digital invitations are also a great and less wasteful alternative to traditional wedding stationery and are becoming increasingly popular for couples who value a more digital experience. “Weddings in 2025 are set to go high-tech with the rise of digital invitations that offer interactive features, enabling guests to RSVP instantly, view venue details, and receive live updates,” notes Katerina Vinogradova of Avelã White. “On the wedding day, the trend continues with digital on-day stationery, including QR code-enabled menus, digital seating charts, virtual guest books, digital place cards, and interactive event programs. These digital tools, accessible via smartphones or tablets, allow guests to easily navigate the event, leave heartfelt messages for the couple, and stay informed about the day's schedule — all while reducing paper waste.”

Bold Colors
In 2025, have fun with color! Don’t be afraid to step beyond muted tones and explore vibrant invitations and colorful place cards. They’ll not only set a lively tone for your celebration but also get your guests excited right from the start. With bright colors, you have more freedom to play with creative designs and patterns, so you can really show off your personal style. Whether it's passionate red, wasabi green or sunny orange, you can mix and match hues to create memorable stationery that feels as dynamic and unique as you are.
Style
Pre-Loved Bridal
Stylist Anne Banks Easter, owner of Edit by Easter, expects that in 2025, more couples will be looking for vintage and pre-owned pieces. "More and more of the brides I work with are wanting to find a special vintage piece that's one of a kind, which I think adds personality to curating a bride's wedding wardrobe! I also think a lot of new designers are having more of a vintage influence in their bridal collections."
Bridal fashion stylist Gabrielle Hurwitz agrees, noting, “Every bride wants something that feels special and unique, and a vintage piece is often the perfect way to get a “wow” moment that hasn’t been done a million times on TikTok or Instagram.”

Basque Waists
While drop waist wedding dresses are definitely set to shine in 2025, there's another exciting trend making its way into the spotlight: basque waist gowns. “I feel 2025 is going to be all about the basque waist. It creates a flattering waistline and a high fashion moment, and perfectly pairs with a voluminous ball gown silhouette that we're also loving for 2025 brides," points out Sarah McCarthy, director of luxury Australian bridal boutique Sphere Bridal Gallery.
Bubble Hems
The ever-playful silhouette that graced the recent runways is now making its way into bridal. "From Danielle Frankel to Dana Harel, we've seen more and more designers opt for the bubble hem to add volume and texture to their designs," says Christy Baird, the owner and creative director of LOHO Bride. "This creates a balloon-like effect at the bottom of the hem, offering a welcome twist on the traditional ball gown silhouette."

Bold Rosettes
“Rosettes have been making a huge return in street style, so it’s no surprise they're appearing in bridal fashion too,” highlights Christy Baird. “These floral embellishments can be seen as neck ties or even incorporated into the design of the dress, either in small repetitions or as oversized waist details.”

Statement Accessories
No bridal look is complete without stunning accessories, and 2025 is pegged to bring bride's embracing a fashionable approach to their styling. “We see 2025 brides exploring impactful accessories for a truly unique bridal moment, with a soft neck scarf or lace glove being the standout accessories of the season. They give a chic fashion moment, while also being an impactful element to completely transform a bridal look from ceremony to reception,” says Sarah McCarthy.

Pops of Color
For 2025 Gabrielle Hurwitz envisions more color in bridal fashion. “A pop of color somewhere in your wedding wardrobe is a great way to surprise your guests and do something unexpected. I love a colorful rehearsal dinner or a welcome party look — it exudes confidence and fun. If you’re going to do a colorful look (and not have a white party), I recommend finding a piece so special that no one will mistake you for a guest.”
Silver & Chrome Accessories
Silvers are about to steal the spotlight in 2025! Christy Baird notes, “In years past, gold and pearls have been the standard when it comes to wedding accessories, but recently silver and chrome have been having their moment! With Cyber Y2K making a comeback, expect to see more chrome jewelry, shoes, and other accessories this wedding season. Agmes is a standout designer for this look, offering sleek, organic styles that add a subtle edgy touch to any bridal ensemble.”
Bold Groom Suits
While a classic suit is always a safe choice, it’s great to see grooms getting creative and experimenting with their outfits. Expect even more of that next year! “Suits in unexpected colors, fresh silhouettes, fun accessories — nothing is off-limits. If the bride is going to go all-out on her fashion, so should the groom,” predicts Gabrielle Hurwitz.
Wedding Wardrobes
“In 2025 expect to see brides and grooms putting even more thought into their wedding wardrobes, curating highly personalized looks for every event from the engagement to the after-party,” shares Nicole Amarise. “This trend will likely include a blend of modern and vintage-inspired styles, with each outfit carefully chosen to reflect the theme and mood of each wedding occasion.”
Beauty
Red, red, red
Although red is a timeless classic, it’s been especially popular in fashion and beauty lately — and the trend is not going anywhere anytime soon. Adding a subtle touch of red to your bridal makeup can be a gorgeous way to make a statement. For 2025, makeup artist and hairstylist Katie Moore of The Future Mrs expects to see even more pops of red, whether it’s in the nails or lips. "This is a fun element to add to transition your look from the ceremony to reception," she says.

"Emotional" Skincare
Makeup artist Teneille Sorgiovanni of The Future Mrs believes that “emotional skincare” will be one of the major focuses in 2025 beauty trends. "We are finding that leaders in the skincare industry are creating luxury intelligent products that still remain humble. For example, J-Beauty brand Tatcha pairs stress-reducing formulas with calming Japanese practices. I love this trend and it’s exciting news for our future brides, giving them ultra calming, nourishing, glowy skin," she explains.

Minimalist Hair
"In 2025, sleek and minimalist styles will continue to dominate, with polished low ponytails, slicked-back buns, and smooth blow-drys reflecting a clean, sophisticated aesthetic," points out hairdresser, bridal specialist and The Future Mrs talent, Carly Van der Meer. Katie Moore agrees that ballet buns will remain a favorite for yet another season. "They're timeless and low-maintenance throughout the day. I think we'll see more sculptural or modern shapes as a fun twist on this sleek, classic style."
