Connection is a styled shoot dreamed out by a trio of talented creatives, Susannah, Emilie and THE WED member Frances of Allegory Events. Inspired by love, togetherness and Slim Aarons photography, the team have created a story of a wedding weekend that is indulgent, extravagant and decadent. Connection is about tradition but also about breaking the rules, it’s about spontaneity and the magic of people being together, interacting and truly living.
The beautiful love story unfolds in Cyprus, at the Agora Hotel, a place brimming with old-world charm. The wedding weekend starts with a welcome party with a jazz band playing for the couple, their family and friends. This laid-back and relaxed part of the wedding day is then followed by the ceremony and the wedding itself. As a final point, the newlyweds and their guests have a fun pool party the next day.
Every detail of the shoot was meticulously thought through. To give each event its own distinct character, each one had a color scheme. For the jazz party it was black and white, while for the wedding day, models were wearing metallics against a backdrop of retro French Riviera colors. And for the pool party the team decided to go with brights and clashing colors, turbans and big earrings.
