Your Path to Publication
We're so honored you want to share your special day with us! Submitting your wedding to THE WED is simple, we’ve designed the process to keep everything streamlined and in one place. Your journey begins with our online submission form here. Whether you're a couple, venue or vendor, we just ask that you first coordinate with your photographer and planner before submitting, to ensure that permissions, credits, and details are all in order. Once you have uploaded the gallery and details, your submission automatically slides into the inbox of our editors for review. Every submission goes through multiple stages of review by THE WED team who carefully assess for alignment with THE WED's editorial vision. This shared process enables us to consider each submission afresh and ensures that nothing is overlooked.
Details That Make a Difference
in Your Submission
The strongest submissions always include thoughtful and complete details. We love to spotlight every creative talent that contributed to bring the special day to life, so be sure to include the complete list of vendors with their correct names, websites and social links. Provide a working link to your photo gallery with full access, including any necessary passwords or login details, and ensure the images are high-resolution and comprehensive. Galleries should include a minimum of 100 images showcasing the full span of the wedding day or weekend as they unfolded – from strong detail shots to wide-angle captures, raw behind-the-scenes moments and couple portraits that help us appreciate the depth of each vendor's craft and the the couple's overall vision. If you, your venue or someone on the vendor team are also a member of THE WED, please highlight this in your submission form to ensure the feature connects with the member's Directory profile and further spotlights the wedding. The more thorough your submission, the smoother the review process will be, and the greater the chance that your wedding will be featured in THE WED.
What to Expect Next
After You Submit
We review every submission equally, regardless of whether it comes from a member, vendor, venue or couple. We make our decisions on the creative strength of the project and how well it aligns with THE WED's core values, aesthetic vision and our publishing schedule. Due to the high volume of submissions we recieve, please allow a minimum of 14 business days for your submission to go through the review process. While priority review is given to submissions involving THE WED members, every project receives the same thoughtful consideration and attention. If your submission is accepted, our editor will be in touch via email to discuss next steps and to coordinate an interview with the couple. If your submission is rejected, please know we have not made the decision lightly! Sometimes it's the smallest details that can set a wedding apart, so we encourage every vendor to continue to submit future projects that align with THE WED vision.
Navigating the
Editorial Process
When your submission is accepted, our editor will walk you through every step of the editorial process for a strong real wedding feature, starting with an interview with the couple. Every couple's love story deserves to be told with care, so we take an in-depth look at how they met, their engagement, their vision for their wedding day, and all the special details and stories that brough it to life. Once completed, the interview is uploaded alongside a selection of image galleries carefully curated by THE WED to best showcase all the incredible details, the scope of events, the couple and the overall vision in a way that connects with our audience. The feature undergoes several stages of proofing by our editorial team, before sending on to the submitter for final checks. The feature is then published to THE WED and featured across our social channels, with the couple, venues and vendor all tagged accordingly.
