Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are officially married! The Hollywood couple tied the not in Las Vegas over the weekend. They arrived at the Little White Chapel just before midnight to wait in line with four other couples. Lopez's fan newsletter, the J Lo, reported, "Behind us two men held hands and held each other. In front of us, a young couple who made the three hour drive from Victorville on their daughter’s second birthday — all of us wanting the same thing — for the world to recognize us as partners and to declare our love to the world through the ancient and nearly universal symbol of marriage."
The couple first met in 2001 on the set of their movie “Gigli” while Lopez was still married to her second husband Cris Judd. Already in September 2002, Ben Affleck proposed to the singer, their wedding was scheduled for the fall of next year. But shortly before the celebration, "Bennifer" broke up. The celebrities didn't go into details of their separation, citing, like many, irreconcilable differences, as well as accusations by the paparazzi of violating their personal boundaries.
In 2021, shortly after Lopez broke off her engagement to Alex Rodriguez, an American baseball player whom she dated for four years and planned to start a family, rumors about "Bennifer 2.0" appeared on the Web. In the summer, the couple finally stopped hiding the resumption of their love story. Since then, not a single red carpet has been complete without Lopez and Affleck's PDA.
By April 2022, the couple were officially engaged for the second time with a stunning 8.5-carat natural green diamond ring. Not much is known about the circumstances of their Saturday wedding. JLo changed two dresses. The first is a simple and modest boatneck gown. The second is lace, with a corset and Zuhair Murad heart neckline. The bride complemented it with a matching lace trimmed veil. Ben opted for a classic white tuxedo.
