Just as we congratulated Phoebe Tonkin on her engagement, another star from The Vampire Diaries shared joyful news. Actress Nina Dobrev, who we all know and love as Elena Gilbert, just got engaged to her partner, Olympic snowboarder Shaun White. The couple started dating in 2019 and has been inseparable ever since.
White proposed to his celebrity sweetheart with a stunning 5-carat diamond Lorraine Schwartz ring under an arch of white roses at the Golden Swan restaurant in New York City. He had been discreetly planning the event to completely surprise Dobrev. To pull it off, the snowboarder had his publicist send Nina a fake invitation for an intimate Vogue dinner with Anna Wintour. It was only when she arrived that the actress realized what was really happening!
Dobrev happily said "yes," and we’re so excited to see the couple’s wedding soon!
