Gabriella and Felippe's wedding was the quintessence of Brazilian passion and emotions and the natural beauty of Italian scenery. The bride and groom's elegance, sophisticated décor and the support of their loved ones made this celebration unique and memorable. After reading the interview with the bride below and immersing yourself in the wedding visuals created for the couple by our talented member Nick Zharkov, you will experience for yourself all the beauty of this Italian dream wedding.
Tell us a little about yourselves. How did you meet? What do you do for a living? What are your hobbies?
I and Felippe have known each other since childhood. I'm an interior designer and architect, and Felippe is an entrepreneur.
Where was your wedding? Why did you choose this venue?
We got married at the Villa Viesca in Reggello. We choose Italy because it was the destiny of our first romantic trip together. And I also have Italian heritage, my mothers' mom was Italian.
What was the concept behind your wedding and how did you find your inspiration?
Believe it or not, there was no concept! We just wanted to do something really joyful for our families with a real good food and wine. But I also kept on my mind the desire of making that night magical, not just for me and Felippe, but also for our guests. Every choice was based on the well-being of our families and friends.
How long did it take to plan your wedding? Did you encounter any challenges during the planning process?
One year and five months. We are Brazilians, so everything was very challenging! But we could count on so many good professionals, they guided us and always respected all my decisions.
How many guests did you have? And what was the seating arrangement at the wedding like?
We had 60 guests and two long tables, 30 each.
What was your first dance song? Did you choreograph or improvise?
The song was "Lei" by Charles Aznavour (the version of ''she'' but in Italian). Totally improvised it!
Did you have any special performances or entertainment?
Only the tenors before the dinner.
What was the most memorable moment from your wedding day?
The moment when the tenors sang "Nessun Dorma."
What advice would you give to couples who are currently planning their wedding?
Surround yourself with good professionals and trust your taste and feeling. There's no rule, just love!
Did you make any gifts for guests, and what was it?
Yes, scented wax tables from Officina Profumo Santa Maria Novella.
What gifts from guests do you remember the most?
Their presence! Because they all came from Brazil to Italy just to be with us was on this magical day.
