"Beca and Emerson signed a contract with me in October 2021, a year before their wedding. Actually, I was quite surprised to find out that the couple from Atlanta was planning to get married in Ibiza. As many might know, the popular wedding destination for couples from the States, Australia, and Canada is Italy, especially Lake Como and Tuscany. Ibiza was something new to me. I’ve hardly seen any wedding photos captured in Ibiza by my colleagues, as the island is mostly famous for its bustling nightlife and partying.
I arrived on the island two days before the celebration. The first thing I did was check out Amante Ibiza, the wedding venue. The moment I got there, I felt like I was the luckiest wedding photographer! I was impressed by the restaurant, nestled on the shore of a rocky cliff, and the beautiful combination of soil colors, green palms, and azure water.
The couple’s rehearsal dinner was held in one of Ibiza’s best five-star hotels, Bless Hotel Ibiza. Top-rated locations like this one are known for their stunning views.
Beca and Emerson were getting ready for the main event at one of the local villas, which they rented for their friends and themselves. Following the tradition, the couple first saw each other only at the wedding ceremony. Boho-style decor with some Hawaiian touches fitted in perfectly with the location. I helped the couple with organizing the pre-ceremony part of their wedding. Together, we decided on a get-ready venue, timing, and looks. Once the ceremony was over, we had some time left for the sunset couple shooting. Though the weather on the island is quite unpredictable, that day it was thankfully on our side!"
