Grooms aren't limited by the traditions and conventions that brides have to fight when choosing their wedding dress. For summer weddings, Bermuda shorts or linen trousers can be worn instead of classic suit pants. In this case, a suit jacket would look out of place and a light linen shirt with short or long sleeves would look better. In reality, grooms do not need to wear a suit at all.
