From Succession season 4 and the first ever Bridgerton spin-off to a new drama starring The Weeknd, there’s a lot to expect this season. The Lying Life of Adults
Based on Elena Ferrante’s 2019 novel, The Lying Life of Adults tells the story of an Italian teenage girl named Giovanna (Giordana Marengo). After accidentally overhearing an odd conversation between her parents, the protagonist decides to find her mysterious aunt Vittoria (Valeria Golino), whose existence, for some reason, is ignored by the entire family. The coming-of-age miniseries portrays Giovanna’s transition from childhood to adolescence in 1990s Naples. If you enjoyed the adaptation of My Brilliant Friend, another of Ferrante’s bestseller books, you might like this new TV show as well. The Lying Life of Adults premiered on January 4 and is already available on Netflix.

Poker Face
Poker Face is an upcoming 10-episode mystery-of-the-week series created by Rian Johnson, the mind behind hit whodunit films Knives Out and Glass Onion. So what to expect? The detective drama will follow the story of Charlie Cale (Natasha Lyonne), a casino worker on the run. At every stop of her way, Charlie will encounter different characters and strange crimes she can't help but solve. Well, for Charlie, crime-solving is a piece of cake, thanks to her uncanny ability to determine when someone’s lying. The cast of Poker Face includes Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Adrien Brody, Chloë Sevigny, and other talented actors and actresses. The release date of the series is January 26.

Daisy Jones & The Six
Reese Witherspoon-produced project Daisy Jones & The Six will be centered on the rise and fall of the fictional Fleetwood Mac-inspired 1970s rock band. The show is an adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid's original novel about young singer Daisy and Billy, the frontman of the band called The Six. The two musicians are forced to confront their feelings towards one another. Filmed in mockumentary style, the series stars Elvis Presley’s granddaughter Riley Keough, Sam Claflin, and Suki Waterhouse. The brand-new series will debut on March 3.

Succession: Season 4
If you still haven’t watched Succession, you are missing out. The comedy-drama series starring Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook and Kieran Culkin has high ratings and is the winner of 13 Emmys. Not surprising that the show was renewed for a fourth season! Succession is about power, politics, and money. The plot revolves around the Roy family, owners of an international media conglomerate. Siblings are fighting for control of the company amid concerns about the health of the family’s patriarch Logan Roy. The new season of the hit series is expected to premiere in the spring of 2023, so you still have time to binge-watch all previous episodes.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story
The first-ever spin-off of Netflix’s hit series will be based around the rise and love life of Queen Charlotte. The upcoming show will further expand the beloved character’s story and the incredible world of Bridgerton. The spin-off, starring British actress India Amarteifio as young Charlotte, will feature a whole host of newcomers as well as several returning cast members of the original series. The series is set to be released sometime in 2023. By the way, the third season of Bridgerton is also currently in production, so be ready for a big dose of royal drama.

The Idol
If you are into chaotic, music-video-style shows, HBO Max’s The Idol should definitely be on your watchlist. The story will focus on Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp), an aspiring pop star who, after a nervous breakdown, begins a complicated relationship with the self-help guru and cult leader Tedros (Abel “The Weeknd’’ Tesfaye). The miniseries about the dark side of the music industry was co-created by Euphoria’s Sam Levinson and The Weeknd himself. Other celebrities like Troye Sivan and Blackpink’s Jennie are also set to appear on the show. The Idol’s release date is yet to be announced.
