A hairstyle is as much a part of a wedding look as a dress or shoes. Sometimes it can completely spoil the bride's look, and conversely, it can sometimes add a finishing touch. We spoke to two stylists from Europe (Dina Khmylova) and the USA (Alena Lemondy) to find out more about the hottest wedding hair trends for summer 2022.
Dina Khmylova
In my opinion, 2022 like 2021 will be a year of elegant classics without the deliberate complexity of styling and hairstyles. Light waves and minimalist bunches are still trending.
For the brides of the coming season, I offer smooth options for bunches, plaits, knots. If it’s too bold for them and not traditional enough, then I’m doing a classic textured bunch.
The concept of “textural” is different for everyone. I prefer to stay within the limits of wearability, but if the client does not mind, I am happy to make careless rolled up buns. As for loose hair, it seems to me that among European brides, textures that are as close as possible to the natural structure of the hair will be relevant. Proper styling is very important here.

For me, there are a few hairstyles that I think will be in trend this summer. These are low updo styles with little volume and texture and the classically Hollywood waved low ponytail.
My stylish brides also prefer soft bumpy waves, red carpet bun or texture half up & half down. It looks like classics, but still up to date. For example, many celebrities often wear waves and buns for ceremonies and awards.
