Annabelle Zermatten, also known as Wani, is the photographer behind Coucou Studio Photography. Based between Lausanne and Sion, she photographs weddings across Switzerland, Europe, and beyond. Trained for seven years at the École de Photographie de Vevey (CEPV) in Switzerland, she later spent three years living in Australia — an experience that shaped her instinct-driven approach and deepened her commitment to authenticity.
Fluent in French and English, Annabelle travels extensively for her work, with upcoming destinations including France, Spain, Sicily, Switzerland, and Greece. Her photography is guided by light, color, form, and the quiet, fleeting moments that give each story its uniqueness.
Working with both digital and film, she is increasingly drawn to analog photography. Film invites slowness, playfulness, and intention, offering an element of surprise and a depth that feels uniquely alive. While digital remains a backup for security, film is where the magic happens — capturing moments with honesty, texture, and emotion.
Annabelle adapts to each couple’s rhythm, listening closely to their vision while weaving in her own perspective. Her approach is deeply personal — centered on emotion, connection, and storytelling. The goal is to create images that feel genuine and full of life, so that years later, looking back means remembering exactly how it felt.
color, light, and her artistic sensibility. We couldn’t have imagined a better person to be there for such intimate moments. Both we and our guests were absolutely delighted.
