The Flowerslinger is a floral design studio based in Northwest Arkansas led by husband and wife team Brittany & Doug Murray. Our work reflects a fine art approach to floral design, with avant-garde arrangements, and other worldly displays of florals. We relocated from Brooklyn, NYC to Fayetteville, AR and opened up our new space in September of 2022.
Before flowers, Brittany worked in fashion in NYC styling on commercials and photoshoots. She eventually ended up working in marketing at a brewery in Brooklyn as a content creator and designer. Once she dove into the world of flowers she landed Christian Louboutin as her first client, providing weekly flowers for all of their stores in NYC. Brittany is the creative powerhouse behind our flowers and brings a unique and artful approach to all of our designs. She was named one of Florists’ Review’s 35 under 35 “rising stars in the flower industry” and their studio was just named one of the “Top 55 Event Florists in America” by Florist’s Review.
Doug is an award-winning creative director that has worked on industry leading entertainment brands and was even named one of Adweek’s top 100 creatives in the world. He even won a Grand Prix at Cannes. From production to ideation, Doug helps shape brand vision and helps bring their floristry concepts to life. You’ll usually find him woodworking, welding, or building mechanics for their designs and handling all of their in-house photography & videography.
The Flowerslinger approaches floral design conceptually, with a focus on purpose and creating a lasting visual impact. Their work goes beyond crafting beautiful arrangements; it’s about making a statement that resonates long after the event. With a keen eye on how their florals will be captured in photographs, they approach design from an editorial perspective, ensuring that their creations are as impactful in images as they are in person. Given the ephemeral nature of flowers, documenting their art through photography and video is essential to preserving its beauty. The Flowerslinger's signature style is characterized by an organic, whimsical aesthetic with a modern edge, often blending classic elements with unexpected floral pairings.
