We believe that good taste is not only an inborn talent but also a skill that needs to be worked on. Most of the brilliant artists, couturiers, photographers and directors have developed their style, relying on the shoulders of their great predecessors. This approach is now called, less pompously, “watchfulness training.” We have selected 6 websites about aesthetics in the broadest sense, which will help you find inspiration and hone your understanding of beauty.
SHOWstudio
Behind the SHOWstudio project is director and photographer Nick Knight, who specializes in fashion photography. His work has repeatedly found its way into the pages of Vogue, W Magazine, Visionairer and other reputable gloss and exhibited in galleries of modern art, such as the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. On the site you can watch them all, along with fashion videos, and be inspired by the work of Knight’s associates.
Aint-Bad
Aint-Bad is an independent art project from Georgia. Inside - the work of the most progressive artists, photographers and illustrators from around the world and interviews with representatives of the creative industries. You can be inspired by the aesthetics of postmodernism and expand the boundaries of understanding beauty through the prism of speaking images.
Booooooom
Booooooom is founded by photographer and art blogging pioneer Jeff Hamada. His platform is like a springboard for young and emerging artists into the world of great art. Here you can find digital art, modern sculpture, photos of all genres and styles, and even designer works. All projects are strictly controlled by the curator: no hype and boring elitism.
Creative Review
Creative Review was founded in 1980. The project started as a print magazine and has now grown across all possible media platforms. As the name implies, Creative Review specializes in art criticism. And for those who came to the site for pure inspiration without mentoring and analytics, the Inspiration tab contains all kinds of creative series across borders and disciplines.
Ignant
In an online magazine, you can find design, architecture, travel or photography inspiration. Ignant has repeatedly won prestigious awards in art and has become popular in wide circles thanks to the infinitely aesthetic Instagram.
Visuelle
Visuelle was created for connoisseurs of digital beauty. It is an online creative showcase and channel curated by David Bennett, creative director of the influential design studio OPX Studio. Inside are iconic (and perfectly presented) cases from the world of advertising, web design, typography and related fields.
