Alyc and Aaron's wedding was more than just a celebration – it was a journey. A celebration of love, connection, and the beginning of a lifelong adventure together, their big day beautifully reflected their shared passion for travel and exploration. Held at the enchanting La Pescaia Resort in Tuscany, Italy, this intimate, timeless affair embraced the magic of the Tuscan landscape with an outdoor ceremony surrounded by rolling hills and breathtaking views. Every detail, from the communal reception table adorned with fresh anthurium to the soft, romantic lighting, captured the essence of who they are as a couple: adventurers, dreamers, and lovers of life. Guided by our talented member, a wedding planner, LaLindi, the day was an unforgettable reflection of the couple's style and spirit, from Alyc’s elegant Danielle Frankel gown to the warm, inviting atmosphere that set the perfect tone for their new chapter together.
Our Love Story
The Day We Met
Aaron and I met in college, where our friendship blossomed and deepened over time. As we navigated the ups and downs of student life together, it became clear that we were each other’s favorite person, supporting one another through every challenge and celebrating each milestone. Our bond grew stronger, transforming from a simple friendship into a love story.
The Proposal
Aaron proposed on our balcony in Mallorca, overlooking the stunning Tramuntana mountains, after a day of exploring the streets of Sóller. As the sun dipped behind the peaks, he spoke from the heart, sharing how much I meant to him. It truly felt like a fairytale.
The Engagement Ring
Aaron and I collaborated with local jewelry designer Samantha Skelton at her studio, Skelton Jewelry, to create the perfect engagement ring. We selected an emerald-cut diamond set in a floating bezel, paired with a sleek gold band.
Our Wedding
The Vision
From the very beginning of our relationship, Aaron and I shared a passion for travel. It felt only natural that when it came time to plan our wedding, we would dream of a destination that reflected our love for adventure. We wanted our wedding to be a true reflection of who we are—a celebration of love, connection, and the start of our lifelong adventure together. The vision was intimate, enchanting, and timeless, and Valentina executed it flawlessly, bringing every detail to life with exquisite precision and passion.
Team of Vendors
Valentina from LaLindi assembled the most amazing team of vendors, and we truly couldn’t have asked for anything more. Each vendor she recommended was not only incredibly talented but also genuinely passionate about what they do. I am especially thankful to our photographers, Stefania and Alfredo from Dos Mas En La Mesa for capturing fleeting moments and turning them into timeless memories.
I’d also like to highlight Souad Barry for creating such an alluring Super 8 film of our wedding day. Her artistic approach brought a timeless quality to our memories, capturing not just the key moments but also the little details that made the day special. In addition, our floral designer, Fluida Design, transformed our venue with breathtaking arrangements that beautifully enhanced the romantic atmosphere. One of my favorite details of the wedding was my cascading bouquet, elegantly filled with anthurium, calla lilies, and hanging amaranthus. Carrying that bouquet felt like a dream, and it was a constant reminder of the love and beauty surrounding us.
Valentina’s attention to detail and her ability to coordinate everything seamlessly allowed us to relax and truly enjoy our day without worry. It was clear that she had a deep understanding of our style and what we wanted, making the entire planning process feel effortless. We are immensely grateful to her and the entire team for making our wedding day an extraordinary experience, one that we will treasure for years to come.
Location
La Pescaia was the perfect venue, turning our intimate gathering into a dream come true. Surrounded by stunning views and a warm, inviting atmosphere, it created an idyllic backdrop for our celebration. Having our friends and family all in one space allowed us to savor every moment together over the three days we spent there. The hospitality at La Pescaia was truly exceptional; the staff went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly and that we felt right at home. From personalized touches to thoughtful service, their attention to detail made us feel cherished. It was a magical setting that made our time together even more special.
The Ceremony
On our wedding day, we had an outdoor ceremony surrounded by the Tuscan landscape. The intimate courtyard setting allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the significance of the moment, surrounded by the people who mean the most to us.Since I first saw LaLindi's design project, I fell in love with Valentina idea of using drapery as the backdrop for our wedding ceremony, and the textile piece created by Fluida Design was pure magic.
The Reception
Our reception featured a long, communal table adorned with fresh anthurium and soft, subtle lighting that created a warm and inviting atmosphere. We shared a feast of local delicacies, including the classic cacio e pepe, and toasted with Tuscan wines. As the evening unfolded, I snuck away to change into a Clio Peppiatt dress with my new last name hand beaded onto the hem—a personal touch that made me feel connected to this new chapter in my life. With our guests drinking Hugo spritz and dancing to Charli XCX, the celebration felt like a dream we never wanted to end.
The Special Touches
Our wedding was filled with meaningful details that made the day truly unique. We had live watercolor paintings capturing portraits of our guests, creating a beautiful keepsake of the celebration. Additionally, we had hand-embroidered napkins for guests to take home, each one a personalized reminder of the occasion.
Our Favorite Moment
Our favorite moment was walking down the aisle to meet Aaron, accompanied by the melodies of the string quartet. When we reached the end, Aaron lifted my blusher, and Dos Mas En La Mesa captured the most stunning shot of that moment—one I will cherish forever.
Our Style
The Bridal Looks
My welcome dinner looks featured an ivory jacquard v-neck Mirror Palais dress and a white layered silk Bernadette dress. I got ready in a Frankies Bikinis white mini dress and had matching white Petite Plume robes and pajamas with my maid of honor and family.
My wedding gown is the River Gown by Danielle Frankel, showcasing beautiful asymmetric draping around the neck and shoulders that flows into an elegant scarf—an aspect I absolutely fell in love with. For the ceremony, I wore classic Louis Vuitton silk heels, and when I changed into my custom Clio Peppiatt mini, I paired it with Larroude’s Vivi Lucite Hi Mules in Silver Specchio, which made me feel like Cinderella with her glass slippers.
The Groom Looks
For the welcome dinner, Aaron opted for an ivory lace Corridor shirt, complemented by A Kind of Guise ivory linen trousers, creating a fresh and refined look. On our wedding day, Aaron made a statement in a tailored suit from Tiger of Sweden, featuring wide-leg trousers and a double-breasted jacket. He had a custom shirt designed locally by John at Alberto & Pasquale and wore a gold bracelet that belonged to his grandmother. He finished his outfit with the Henri loafers by Belgian Shoes, adding a touch of luxury to his ensemble.
Our Bridesmaid’s Looks
My Maid of Honor, Madison, looked stunning in a draped light pink dress by Misha that harmonized with the draping of my River Gown. The soft, romantic hue complemented the elegance of my gown, creating a cohesive and enchanting look for our special day. My little sister wore an embroidered dress by Self-Portrait, while my mother chose a floral design from Sachin & Babi.
Our Advice
For The Planning Process
For the planning process, hiring an amazing wedding planner is essential. From the very start, Valentina took the time to understand our vision and brought it to life in ways we could never have imagined.
For On The Day
Remember why you’re there—to celebrate your love! Take the time to enjoy every aspect of your special day. Things might not go exactly as planned, and that’s okay. Focus on the love and joy of the day rather than small hiccups.
For Post-Wedding
Allow yourselves to enjoy the newness of being married. Take time to adjust and embrace this exciting chapter of your lives.
