Lauren and Jack's wedding at the timeless Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills was nothing short of magical, combining European elegance with Californian sophistication. The ceremony took place on lush green lawns, with aisles lined with hydrangeas and white roses, while ethereal drapery swayed gently as the couple exchanged vows beside a fountain centrepiece. At the reception, long tables adorned with delicate Italian lace set the scene for a night to remember. Lauren looked radiant in a sleek gown with an extended train, while Jack matched her elegance in a classic black and white suit that exuded sophistication. Together they brought a slice of Italy to Los Angeles, creating a wedding celebration that was both nostalgic and utterly enchanting.
Our Love Story
The Day We Met
We met in Colorado. It was a snowy evening, and we were both escaping the cold at a local bar. When we met, we had an instant connection. It was perfect.
The Proposal
Jack proposed in Topanga Canyon by candlelight. There were rose pedals cascading up to a gazebo, and we celebrated by drinking champagne and basking in the moment. It was a day we’ll never forget.
The Engagement Ring
We knew we wanted a custom ring so that the diamond would be bespoke to us. The ring is an oval cut with a hidden halo along with a dainty gold band. Timeless, but can be paired with bands that create a unique set.
Our Wedding
The Vision
We knew we wanted to bring Italy to Los Angeles. We envisioned long tables, so everyone could be close to their families, focaccia, olives, food that people remembered, and florals that felt nostalgic of Europe. We wanted people to feel like they were somewhere far away, but most importantly, that love was at the center of it all.
Our Team of Vendors
We hand-selected the vendors we could so that every detail felt carefully selected and everything we could avoid wasn’t done in bulk per se. We wanted it to feel like we thought through every piece of the experience for our guests. For our welcome party, we had a stick and poke tattoo artist, who we felt also elevated our event. In general, we wanted to create events that felt true to us.
The Location
The Greystone is an iconic landmark in Beverly Hills. It represents everything we feel our love encompasses: grand, timeless, a little worn, but that's what makes it perfect – the kind of beauty that is unique and irreplaceable, shaped by the years endured.
The Ceremony
Our ceremony felt like everything was coated in gold sunlight. The aisles were lined in hydrangeas and white roses that created what felt like clouds in a sea of green grass. At the end were pillars of florals with ethereal drapery and a fountain in the center.
During the ceremony, we had hummingbirds appear that were drinking from the fountain as we exchanged vows. We feel they were family members who have passed but were with us that day. It really felt like the dawn of our greatest story and our most sacred memory.
The Reception
We had Italian lace running down long tables with marinated olives, artichoke, calla lilies and other whimsical florals as well. We played Italian and French music for the golden hour and, of course, had so much fun dancing later. It was everything we could have imagined.
The Special Touches
Each decorative element I personally sourced. I designed match books, our floral ice holder from England, and our guestbook was an antique Italian book that we just had people write all over. We wanted everything to feel organic and lived-in.
Our Favorite Moment
Before the rehearsal and after photos, we got to have a glass of Prosecco, just the two of us, and it was so special. We held hands, laughed, and just basked in saying, “I do.” It was such a precious memory.
Our Style
The Bridal Look
I wore a slip dress with a very long train along with custom Italian lace sleeves. I wanted something timeless with a custom touch. My veil had Italian lace as well – my family is Italian, so I knew I wanted a vintage, classic, Italian feel.
The Groom Look
Jack wore a classic tux trouser with a statement ivory and black jacket. It was iconic!
