Rolling Tuscan hills, golden light, and an unwavering sense of intention shaped Stephanie and Charlie’s wedding day – an intimate, design-forward elopement rooted in presence and place. Their celebration unfolded across two iconic locations, beginning at the storied Castello di Spedaletto, where soft morning light filtered through ancient stone, and continuing to Agriturismo Baccoleno, where vows were exchanged high above cypress-lined valleys. Rather than overpowering the landscape, the design embraced it: a chandelier suspended in open air, a delicately styled table overlooking endless views, florals that felt organic and effortless, and champagne poured just as the sun slipped below the hills. Stephanie’s bridal looks reflected the same quiet romance – vintage silhouettes chosen instinctively, timeless and understated yet undeniably striking. With no guests and no rigid timeline, the day moved slowly and intentionally, allowing emotion and atmosphere to lead.

Our Love Story
The Day We Met
Charlie and I actually went to high school together and grew up down the road from one another, but we never had the chance to really meet until a few years ago. He flew to NYC, where I lived at the time, after many nights of long phone calls and falling for each other. When we were finally together, the chemistry was even better face to face. We talked, relaxed with music, and had our first date on a rooftop in Midtown Manhattan.
The Proposal
When he proposed, we had been riding bikes together around the art museum. We stopped beneath my favorite willow tree. It was private and perfect on a beautiful fall day.
The Engagement Ring
The engagement ring was something I completely fell in love with—I actually sent it to him on Valentine’s Day earlier that year! It’s an emerald-cut diamond set inside an accented halo, custom-made with a dreamy, vintage feel that I absolutely adore. I gave him his wedding band early, and he wore it throughout our engagement, too. I loved that he was just as excited to show his off.
Our Wedding
The Vision
We really wanted something intimate and unforgettable. Tuscany felt like the perfect choice—the quiet, poetic expanse, the golden light, the cypress-lined hills. We dreamed of that timeless magic: the sunsets, the old stone architecture, the sense that every moment was suspended between history and heaven.
Our Team of Vendors
Eloise, our amazing photographer, is actually an old friend of mine—and from the moment she began her photography career, I was completely blown away. She’s not only incredibly talented, but also one of the kindest, most enthusiastic people I know. She made our day feel so special in every possible way.
Our wedding planner, Ani Lami, is based in Tuscany and worked magic bringing everything together. She found our stunning location, the most beautiful florist, and designed the dreamy table setup with a chandelier overlooking that breathtaking view—it honestly brought me to tears when I saw it. Our florist, the lovely Sara Fiori of Magnolias in Asciano, created arrangements that felt straight out of a fairytale. And my hair and makeup were done by the wonderful Dasha!
The Location
Our locations were absolutely stunning—Castello di Spedaletto, where we stayed and captured the castle and getting-ready photos, and Agriturismo Baccoleno, where we shared our vows, first kiss, and champagne overlooking the rolling Tuscan hills.
The Ceremony
We wanted the day to be entirely about the two of us—to have intimacy and presence. We helped each other get ready, laughed through our portraits, and soaked in the bliss with no distractions. When it came time for our vows, we were floating around the hills of Tuscany. At the top of them, we read our vows.
The Cocktail Hour
We danced on the hill as golden hour washed over us, and the sunset came on cue for the champagne. The chandelier sparkled, and it was more perfect than I could have ever dreamt.
The Reception
We didn’t have a traditional reception—since we eloped, we wanted to keep everything simple and intentional. The night before the wedding, we cooked homemade Italian food in the kitchen of our castle stay with our friend and photographer, Eloise, and her fiancé, Brad. We sipped red wine in the garden, and it set the most beautiful tone for our wedding day.
The Special Touches
We had each other’s names inscribed inside our wedding bands—a small detail that means so much. I wore the perfume he gifted me when we first met, and he wore the cologne I had chosen for him.
Our Favorite Moment
Our favorite moment from the day is hard to choose. I think dancing right after our vows will always play in my mind. The atmosphere was the most peaceful I have ever felt. We had danced before while playing around together, but this was the first time we truly shared a romantic dance—and the world fell away.

Our Style
The Bridal Looks
My first gown was a vintage piece I discovered online from a seller in Washington State. I hesitated and decided to take a chance on it—and when it arrived, it fit me perfectly. It felt meant to be. My second look was by a designer on Etsy, and I was in awe when I finally got to put it on.
The Groom Looks
Charlie wore a classic Ralph Lauren tuxedo, and I bought him opal-inlaid buttons and cufflinks. Opal is said to bring hope, good fortune, and emotional healing—all of which I’ve felt since meeting him.
Our Advice
For the Planning Process
Eloise and Ani were truly my angels when it came to planning. I had a vision in my head, and those two incredible women brought it to life. My biggest advice? Invest in the right people—you’ll be so grateful you did. The energy our photographer brought—her love for her craft, her excitement for us, and her genuine kindness—became the backbone of it all. She created the space for us to relax, be present, and truly experience a whimsical, effortless day together.
For On The Day
Have a slow, gentle morning with your partner, and take intentional pauses throughout the day. Don’t get caught up in trying to make everything “perfect.” Keep reminding yourself why you’re there and who you’re there for. Lead with love.
For Post-Wedding
Re-live the day together. Have one last dance, get un-ready together, and share a quiet moment just the two of you.
