Against the enchanting backdrop of winter in Florence, Lintang and Marco’s wedding was a celebration of love, style and spirit. Held at the magnificent Villa il Garofalo in the picturesque Camerata hills, the celebration embraced the beauty of winter, with twinkling lights casting a soft glow across the historic estate. The couple exchanged vows in a civil ceremony in the Sala Rossa at the Palazzo Vecchio, surrounded by rich red décor, opulent tapestries and glittering chandeliers – a fittingly romantic setting for their special day. Lintang stunned in a Vivienne Westwood wedding dress, complete with a lightweight cape that moved like poetry, while Marco exuded sleek sophistication in his Rick Owens attire. Paramonova Movies and Stas Moiseev, our members, captured the essence of the day with cinematic brilliance, transforming fleeting moments into lasting art, both on film and in photographs.
Our Love Story
The Day We Met
We briefly crossed paths in late 2016 in Florence, only to lose touch for a few years. Yet, the city had a way of bringing us back together in 2019 at a fashion week party. From the instant we began to reconnect, the passion and spark of our shared creativity ignited—and have continued to flourish ever since.
The Wedding Rings
It was essential for us to choose wedding rings that resonated with both of us. A week before our wedding day, we finally made the decision to select Bvlgari's Serpenti Viper rings. These rings embody enveloping shapes and timeless design, and we believe the mythical serpent beautifully symbolizes our endless transformation together as we begin this new chapter in our lives.
Our Wedding
The Vision
An intimate winter wedding, surrounded by our most treasured friends and family, immersed in an enchanting atmosphere filled with elegance, heartfelt connections, and warmth. We wished to embrace the beauty of the cold season, with twinkling lights casting a soft glow, well-thought-out décor reflecting our aesthetics, and a culinary experience that delighted the senses. We shared some initial inspiration with our planner, who came back with fresh, original ideas. Then MAISON FNC and Fluida Design brought it all to life beautifully—together, they created a dinner setting that felt truly unique.
Our Team of Vendors
From our very first call with Christiana and Francesco of MAISON FNC, their vibrant energy and clear vision immediately put us at ease, guiding us toward our dream. We were deeply honored to have One-Star Michelin Chef Vito Mollica craft his signature dishes for our reception dinner, elevating the experience for all our guests.
Alessandra of Fluida Design amazed us with her artistic touch—every floral detail was both intentional and breathtaking. Nelli made me feel truly confident with two stunning, empowering makeup looks. And finally, Victoria from Paramonova Movies and Stas behind the lens captured each moment with such ease and artistry, allowing us to be fully present while they preserved it all beautifully.
The Location
We selected Villa il Garofalo on the picturesque hills of Camerata in Florence. This magnificent villa carries the legacy of notable families, including Dante, the father of the Italian language, and his muse, Beatrice Portinari. From their garden, we could see a breathtaking view of Brunelleschi's Duomo.
I can still remember the excitement in Marco’s eyes when he saw the venue. The piano room, adorned with a splendid tapestry from the Brussels Manufactures, served as the ideal setting for our pre-dinner cocktail. The main room, frescoed on one side by Xavier Bueno, was transformed into a stunning venue for our dinner reception.
The Ceremony
Our civil ceremony was held in the Sala Rossa at Palazzo Vecchio, Florence's town hall. The rich red décor, along with the tapestries and chandeliers, enveloped us in a warm and romantic atmosphere. The late Baroque ornaments added a touch of history, making it a truly heartfelt backdrop for a day filled with emotion and love.
The Reception
The moment we stepped into the main room, we were welcomed by a breathtaking installation—an idea thoughtfully developed by MAISON FNC and Fluida Design. Fluida’s talent and attention to detail brought the entire vision to life in a way that felt truly special and perfectly suited to the space.
It was such a statement piece and created a truly magical ambiance. All night long, we were accompanied by live music from The Art Society, playing our favorite tracks. We were not only surrounded by so much beauty—but, most importantly, we felt the love in the air from the people who truly matter in our journey.
The Special Touches
I first saw my wedding bouquet on the morning of our civil ceremony—and was completely speechless. A delicate tree branch adorned with white jasmines, it felt like a reflection of my spirit, heritage, and personality. My second bouquet, with deep-toned carnations and white orchids, was just as striking.
For our wedding favors, we collaborated with Baro Firenze to create his signature wooden boxes, each hand-painted to echo the textures of Florentine marble and stone. Inside, we placed traditional Indonesian fabric from Tenun Baron—an intimate symbol of the union between our two cultures.
Our Favorite Moment
We hadn’t really planned on having a first dance, but our amazing wedding planner, Christiana, totally surprised us! Right after we cut the cake, the band started playing our favorite song, “Verses” by Tamino. We just held each other close and danced along to the beautiful music, soaking in the moment. It turned out to be truly special.
Our Style
The Bridal Looks
I have always dreamed of getting married in both black and white outfits, seamlessly blending my favorite designers into unique looks. For the civil ceremony, I chose an iconic black interconnected leather jacket from Noir Kei Ninomiya, paired with a tutu skirt and complemented by Balenciaga's Hourglass boots.
For the reception, I styled my Vivienne Westwood wedding dress with a lightweight cape from Tom Ford and switched to a vintage Beautiful People wool blazer for dinner. The pearl necklace from Vivienne became my most cherished statement accessory.
The Groom’s Looks
Marco put together two looks, both from Rick Owens, and he truly knew what he wanted for this special day. For the morning, he opted for a bold cropped black blazer paired with high-waisted trousers. Then, for dinner, he switched to a sand-colored blazer set that added a relaxed, elegant vibe. His choice of Kiss boots and Platform Beatle boots added a fantastic touch to his looks.
Our Advice
For the Planning Process
Always take the time to explore together what you both envision as a couple. This is a day to celebrate the beautiful union of two unique souls. By merging your perspectives, you can craft a vision that is truly yours.
For On The Day
Embrace this day, for it will pass in the blink of an eye. Savor every precious second, knowing that everything will turn out just fine. Trust in the love that brought you to this moment. Amidst all the preparations, remind yourselves that the essence of your wedding day is the commitment you are making to each other. Focus on creating beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.
For Post-Wedding
Make the most of your hotel’s concierge service to unwind after the big day! We organized a spontaneous farewell lunch for 20 guests, and the fantastic team at the Hotel Savoy handled everything effortlessly. They even secured a spot for us in their Spa Suite later that day to relax and recharge.
