On the edge of the Indian Ocean lies Soori Bali, a hidden refuge perched on the shores of a breathtaking black sand beach. Against this untamed oceanic backdrop, a team of talented industry creatives came together to create a bold yet intimate beachside wedding dinner affair.
Central to the project was the exploration of design that embraces the local flora and landscapes of Bali in innovative ways. Seeking to emphasize the distinctiveness of one of the island's most remarkable landscapes, the botanical design team from This Humid House went beyond traditional floral arrangements. An abundance of local heliconia with bright orange palm tree inflorescence resembling the intricate structures of coral reef formations were set against a moody palette of black and grey. An unconventional styling of black linens, paired with towering coral orange candles, supported the overall storytelling.
Every detail, including fashion, was meticulously thought through to harmonize with the spectacular setting. Nodding to the coral orange featured at the dinner table and the fiery lava from the surrounding volcanoes, the bride appeared in a striking tangerine-hued embroidered silk strapless gown. Complementing this bold choice was a modern choker necklace featuring a large floral accent in black, adding a touch of drama to the attire. For her second look, set against the nearby cliffs, she wore an ethereal ivory crochet lace and tulle gown, followed by a final look that featured a light and airy cape gown inspired by the organic beauty found in nature. A set of organically shaped diamond rings and matching studs that rounded out the look were used to resemble the rugged rock formations of the beach. The groom equally stunned in a well-tailored black peak lapel suit accented by a gold horizon ring, designed to catch light beautifully.
Together, all these elements created a wedding affair that seamlessly blended natural beauty with modern sophistication, showcasing the unique charm of Bali's landscape in a truly unforgettable way.
