Francesca & Jacopo, a couple of creatives, wanted their big day to be simple, intimate and full of personal touch. Their beautiful celebration of love and commitment took place in Barzio, a little borgo on the mountain close to Milan.
Francesca, along with her friends, got changed for the ceremony at a little hotel hidden in a woodland, while Jacopo got prepared at his family’s villa where the reception was held later.
For her big day, the bride chose a sculptural, architectural dress in a beautiful champagne hue instead of white. As Francesca put it, "it was something I was feeling comfortable in." Her makeup was light and natural, as was her hairstyle — loose with a delicate metal hairband. A beautiful touch was the bride’s gorgeous bouquet of amazing field flowers, as "just picked up from a wild field." Francesca's friends looked stunning in their colorful dresses, also reminiscent of "Barzio's field flowers."
As Francesca strolled through the quaint streets of the small village, her father by her side, curious inhabitants peered out from their balconies. All eyes were drawn to the bride as she made her way to the lovely little church where she and Jacopo exchanged their vows.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds arrived at the groom’s family villa to continue celebrating. A highlight of the evening was the wedding cake — a fresh fruit tart that perfectly captured the laid-back atmosphere of a "party among friends at home in the mountains." As the night unfolded, the celebration seamlessly transitioned into a lively disco with mirror balls and lights.
