A study of texture, unique fabrications, and poetically arranged blooms lead Danielle Frankel to an accidental Impressionism for Spring 2025. This season, the studio’s signature interplay of hard and soft and its relaxed refinement intertwine with whimsical feminine details.
Painterly brushstrokes adorn featherweight organza, while perfectly imperfect crushed silks, unique hand pleating and jersey drapery add dreamy soft texture. Unconventional styles of bubble hems, coats, dropped waists and ankle skimming skirts meet romantic ball gowns and goddess-like silhouettes, all masterfully sculpted to accentuate the feminine form. Steeped in a moody palette of soft watercolors - think patinaed rust, citrus and pale chrysanthemum, in addition to her go-to alabaster, the collection explores the realms of bringing a sweep of color down the aisle. The final touch of oversized handmade clay and gilded metal blooms created by artisans in Ukraine and South Africa complete this story of fairytale whimsy, a nod to the inspired Impressionists before her, an artist in her own right.
