Influencer Angela Caloisi and Paolo’s wedding was nothing short of a modern fairytale – the epitome of timeless Italian elegance reimagined with contemporary flair. Set against the rolling hills of Tuscany at the majestic Villa Corsini, the day unfolded like a film: frescoed halls steeped in history, Renaissance gardens glowing in golden light, and a love story at the center of it all. As a fashion and lifestyle influencer, Angela brought her signature eye for detail and storytelling into every element of the celebration. Together, the couple envisioned a wedding that felt refined yet deeply personal – where design, emotion, and authenticity intertwined seamlessly. The styling was powerful in its restraint: a canvas of neutral tones, bold sculptural florals, antique statues, and a romance only Italy could inspire. Guests were swept into a series of unforgettable moments, from the soaring harmonies of a gospel choir to an opulent reception staged around a fountain-lined Imperial table. Angela stunned in not one, but three custom gowns by Milanese atelier Francesca Piccini, each look capturing a different chapter of the evening. It was a celebration that transcended beauty – cinematic, emotional, and unmistakably theirs.
Our Love Story
The Day We Met
We met for the first time in Rome, both of us taking part in the same television show, without any idea that by the end of that experience, we would become a couple. Our love story began on February 3, 2018, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. I fondly remember our first date away from the cameras. We were in an apartment in Rome, and he asked me to cook something nice. He assumed that, being Neapolitan, I’d be amazing in the kitchen… but I wasn’t prepared at all! So I showed up with a bag of chips seasoned with lemon. It was such a funny moment, especially since he had never tasted anything like that before. We burst out laughing, and it felt like we had known each other forever.
The Proposal
The proposal happened on January 1, 2025. We were in the mountains, in Mascognaz, a quiet and intimate place with a few close friends and our dog. I had been waiting and hoping for that moment for such a long time, but I never imagined it would happen right then. The night before, we had celebrated the start of the new year, and on January 1 we decided to go out for dinner together. On the way to the restaurant, I spotted this beautiful little corner: there was snow, soft lights, and lanterns creating a magical atmosphere.
So, without knowing anything, I asked Paolo to take a photo together right there. What I didn’t know was that Paolo had actually set up that little scene earlier that afternoon, planning to propose! I had basically handed him the perfect moment on a silver platter. As we were about to take the photo, Paolo started telling me the most beautiful things. At first, I didn’t understand why he was saying all that right then… until he suddenly got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I burst into tears—I just couldn’t believe it!
The Engagement Ring
Months before the proposal, Paolo had reached out to a friend of his who works with Cartier—he knows how much I love the brand. So when the moment came, the result was a stunning diamond ring: elegant, timeless… I absolutely loved it!
Our Wedding
The Vision
We wanted our wedding to convey a sense of absolute elegance and purity. We aimed for something refined, with a vintage touch, that could tell our story authentically. We chose a palette of neutral colors, a romantic atmosphere, and an Italian venue full of charm, adorned with historic frescoes. Every detail was lovingly curated: from the flowers—essential yet striking—to the presence of antique statues guiding guests from the buffet to the dinner. Love and Italian spirit filled the air. It was all deeply true, deeply ours.
Our Team of Vendors
All of our vendors were Italian, with many years of experience in the industry and a sensitivity perfectly aligned with our style. Choosing each of them was truly a team effort with our wedding planner, Diletta Ruta. From our very first meeting, we knew we shared the same vision: elegant, refined, and authentically beautiful.
I also decided to bring in a few international professionals who added a special touch to the wedding: our videographers from Australia, whose style perfectly captured the kind of wedding film I had dreamed of; a second team of videographers from France; our photographer from Russia; and finally, the gospel choir from London. Each one of them brought a unique energy, making the atmosphere even more emotional and unforgettable.
The Location
We were torn between celebrating our wedding in Florence or along the Amalfi Coast—two breathtakingly beautiful options. But everything changed the moment we discovered Villa Corsini. Nestled in the heart of the Chianti countryside, just minutes from Florence, Villa Corsini was exactly the kind of venue that spoke to us: elegant, historic, and of exceptional prestige. The villa features expansive frescoed halls and magnificent historic gardens, all impeccably maintained.
We chose to make use of every space it offered—from the English-style woodland, where we held the ceremony, to the Galleria del Pandolfo Sacchi, where our guests watched fireworks light up the sky through the grand and elegant windows of the hall. A true dream come to life! Great Gatsby vibes!
The Ceremony
The ceremony was, without a doubt, the most emotional moment of our wedding day. There was something in the air—pure love, deep and infinite. Everything was dressed in white and green: elegant floral arrangements filled the villa’s vast garden, transforming it into a fairytale setting. The light slowly softened, turning into a breathtaking golden-orange sunset that bathed the moment in magic. Our vows were heartfelt and deeply moving. It was an intimate exchange that touched everyone present. Tears of joy flowed freely, shared by all. To make the moment even more special, a gospel choir from London performed just for us, singing the songs closest to our hearts: Ave Maria, The Blessing, and Di Sole D’Azzurro.
The Cocktail Hour
Our guests—and we ourselves—absolutely loved the aperitif! We moved into a second, expansive garden just as the sunset was reaching its peak, bathing everything in a warm golden light. The buffet was generous and beautifully curated: the food was elegantly displayed on classical statues, echoing the timeless charm of the villa and creating a truly unique visual experience. And of course… the drinks were flowing! The bar served perfectly mixed cocktails and plenty of celebratory toasts, adding to the joy of the moment.
The Reception
Our reception took place in a classic Italian garden, with traditional Renaissance-style geometry: rose gardens, statues, terracotta vases, flower beds, and a beautiful live fountain. Around that fountain stretched Imperial Table No. 1, where we as the bride and groom were also seated. Everything felt perfect—it truly looked like a setting from a Disney fairytale.
The Special Touches
Every detail of our wedding was thoughtfully designed over months of careful planning. For our “save the date” we created a hand-drawn animated video. It featured illustrated versions of the two of us, along with the villa, lovingly rendered down to the smallest detail. The video offered a magical preview of what our guests would experience on the big day: scene by scene, it revealed charming “spoilers” of the wedding’s key moments, including the grand dessert hall from which they would later watch the fireworks show. At each seat, guests found a personalized scroll with their name, like a vintage letter written just for them. Everything was customized with our initials—even the decorative wafer served with the cocktails during the party. A one-of-a-kind creative thread that made the entire celebration feel truly ours.
Our Favorite Moment
It’s truly hard to choose just one moment as the most beautiful part of the day. The truth is, we’re completely obsessed with all of it. But if we had to name a few that touched us the most, we would definitely say the speeches from the people we love. Their words—heartfelt, powerful, and sometimes unexpected—moved us more than we ever imagined.
And of course, the moment of our vows. After seven and a half years of love, saying those words to each other in front of everyone was one of the most emotional and unforgettable parts of the day. In those moments, we truly felt surrounded by love, and reminded of everything we’ve built together.
Our Style
The Bridal Looks
I wore three custom-made gowns, entirely handcrafted by an Italian atelier in Milan (Francesca Piccini). Together with their team, we spent months refining every detail—from the first sketches to countless fittings—until we brought each design to life. For the ceremony, I chose a gown with a very low waistline, simple yet incredibly elegant. I never imagined I’d feel comfortable in a dress that wasn’t tightly fitted, but this one made me feel so refined. It truly had the essence of a haute couture piece. The veil, also handmade, was absolutely stunning, adorned with delicate lace detailing that made it even more special.
For the dinner, I wanted something more comfortable, but still elegant. We designed a gown with a distinctive neckline that highlighted the décolleté, beautifully complemented by a blue diamond necklace. The silhouette gracefully hugged the body, striking a perfect balance between sophistication and ease. Finally, for the party, we took inspiration from French lace and created a show-stopping gown with a halter neckline and various embellishments sourced from Italian bouquets. A truly unique piece—bold and refined—that was perfect for closing the day in style.
The Groom’s Looks
Paolo’s wedding looks were also entirely custom-made, thoughtfully designed and tailored just for him. Together with Suit Supply, he selected the most flattering cuts and the finest fabrics to create truly exceptional suits. For the ceremony, he wore a black double-breasted tuxedo with satin lapels and high-waisted trousers featuring a single pleat and a side buckle closure. It was a timeless and incredibly elegant look. For the second outfit, Paolo went for a striking off-white suit, which suited him perfectly. Another double-breasted jacket, paired with high-waisted trousers with double pleats and a double side closure. It was simply stunning—elegant yet bold. To complete the look, he wore handmade shoes crafted by a Tuscan artisan, designed and customized especially for him.
Our Advice
For the Planning Process
Our advice for anyone planning their wedding is not to get discouraged during the preparation process. Even though it can feel overwhelming at times, those moments will become part of the memories—and some of the most meaningful ones too. Try to enjoy the journey, not just the destination. It’s also essential to make authentic choices when it comes to vendors and experiences. Choose what truly reflects who you are as a couple, even if that means going a bit over your initial budget. It will be worth it to have something that genuinely feels like yours. And most importantly, work with a wedding planner who shares your aesthetic and your vision. Having the right person by your side makes all the difference.
For On The Day
Have fun! Together… as much as you possibly can! That’s honestly the best advice we can give. Paolo and I had so much fun on our wedding day, and we truly believe that’s what made it unforgettable. We embraced every single emotion. We were energized, present, and full of joy—and we shared that joy with all our guests. We made sure to spend real time with them, to live each moment side by side, and that’s what made the atmosphere so special. It was a happy day, and everyone still remembers it that way.
For Post-Wedding
After our wedding, we spent the next day in Florence with our loved ones to remember the incredible day we had just experienced. Then we enjoyed some time at the beach, relaxing with our friends. We love each other even more now, and we absolutely love wearing our wedding rings!
