Singer-songwriter Finneas O’Connell and actress Claudia Sulewski are officially married. After eight years together, the longtime couple exchanged vows on August 29 at San Ysidro Ranch in California, with family and friends gathered for the intimate celebration. Keeping one of the day’s most meaningful roles in the family, Finneas’s superstar sister Billie Eilish officiated the outdoor ceremony.
The ceremony felt almost garden-grown, with the aisle winding through lush greenery and loose, meadow-like florals in white, soft blue and touches of yellow. For the milestone moment, Sulewski turned to Oscar de la Renta, walking down the aisle in a custom ivory silk faille ballgown with a fitted drop-waist bodice, dramatically pleated skirt and an asymmetrical scarf extending into the train. A cascading veil finished the look, while Finneas kept things timeless in a black tuxedo and bow tie. The ceremony gown was only one chapter of Sulewski’s wedding wardrobe, with custom Oscar de la Renta looks created for the rehearsal dinner, reception and after-party. Even the couple’s rescue dogs, Peaches and Moose, got in on the fashion moment, wearing bows made from the same silk faille as the bride’s gown.
The guest list brought plenty of star power to the weekend, with Justin and Hailey Bieber, Emma Chamberlain, Rachel Sennott, Rebecca Black, Jason Sudeikis, Devon Lee Carlson and more there to celebrate with the couple at San Ysidro Ranch. Still, the day seemed to keep its focus firmly on the people closest to the newelyweds.
Finneas and Sulewski’s story began with a dating-app match in 2018, and their relationship quickly became intertwined with their creative lives too, with Finneas writing “Claudia” shortly after they met. Seven years later, he turned their anniversary into a surprise proposal, flying Sulewski by helicopter to a secluded mountain campsite before asking her to marry him. The couple later marked the engagement with a romantic portrait session, sharing a series of images together in the months leading up to the wedding.
