Held in the majestic l'Orangerie de Versailles, Jacquemus’s show Le Paysan brought Paris Fashion Week to a poetic close. This wasn’t the designer’s first time at the iconic landmark—back in 2023, he presented Le Chouchou against the backdrop of the Palace of Versailles, turning the royal grounds into a runway bathed in tenderness and modern nostalgia.
With Le Paysan, Simon Porte Jacquemus returned to his roots. The collection is a heartfelt tribute to the designer's Provençal upbringing, weaving together pastoral motifs with his couture aspirations. Deeply autobiographical, it reads like Jacquemus's personal diary: a love letter to his family and the countryside that shaped him.
Beyond its narrative, the collection pulses with bridal potential. White full skirts, casually elegant headscarves, sculptural batwing gowns, airy tulle halters, and handcrafted crochet dresses floated down the runway. The silhouettes felt homespun yet refined—not only channeling rural romance but reimagining it through a modern, couture lens, offering a fresh, poetic alternative to tradition.
