Katherine and Aaron, a couple from Toronto, hit it off at a mutual friend’s birthday party, and it felt like destiny! They were both into sports, attended the same university, and even lived just a few minutes away from each other. In the 8 years since, Katherine and Aaron traveled the world together and created a life filled with a lot of love.
The couple happily chose to say "I do" in Muskoka, a place close to their hearts, where they've shared countless summer weekends at Katherine's family cottage. For the venue, the bride and groom picked the Beaumaris Yacht Club, an intimate space with stunning lake views. Located a mere 5-minute boat ride from the cottage, the venue had something for everyone. Guests were able to golf with the groom in the morning, enjoy cocktail hour on a beautiful lakeside dock, and dance the evening away in the timeless clubhouse ballroom.
The wedding florals and the color palette were also inspired by Muskoka and its wonderful sunsets. With her choice of colors, Katherine wanted to add more warmth and playfulness to the overall wedding decor. The flower bouquets beautifully complemented the bridesmaids’ dresses, and everything felt like it was glowing in the sun.
As for fashion, the couple went for a classic, timeless style with a hint of summery charm to match the relaxed Muskoka atmosphere. Katherine wore a simple yet chic strapless A La Robe gown topped off with a romantic floral embroidered veil and hairpiece. For the shoes, she chose glittery white heels that sparkled in the sunshine. Adding a sentimental touch and meaning to the bride's look were a few heirloom pieces: mother’s pearl choker as well as grandmother’s beaded bridal handbag and pearl diamond earrings. Aaron too looked incredibly handsome in his elegant black tux which he decided to pair with whole-cut loafers.
