Piper and George’s Mallorca wedding was a lesson in understated elegance, where every detail feels considered without ever feeling overdone. At a striking vineyard carved into the island’s natural landscape, the couple embraced a modern Mediterranean aesthetic built around soft whites, organic textures, lush greenery, and the venue’s dramatic architecture. THE WED member Talia Bell was the planner and stylist behind the celebration, bringing together a design that felt effortlessly refined while leaving plenty of room for the setting — and the people — to take center stage. Piper’s Danielle Frankel gown added a sculptural edge to the palette, its architectural silhouette perfectly suited to the contemporary surroundings. From the intimate ceremony framed by white draping and florals to the long-table reception and sun-soaked cocktail hour, the day balanced polished design with an easy, unforced energy — elegant, personal, and truly theirs.
Our Love Story
The Day We Met
We met through friends back in 2018. I was asked to go on a night out in Brighton and, if I’m honest, I wasn’t really feeling it — until I found out George was going to be there, and suddenly I was very keen to join! George took my number that night, and we went on our first date about a week later. The rest is history!
The Proposal
For me, it was never about a big romantic gesture. I knew very early on in our relationship that I wanted to be with George forever, so just being asked was incredibly exciting. On the morning of our sixth anniversary, George got out of bed to make me coffee. When he came back upstairs, he brought our little sausage dog, Edna, with him, wearing a bandana around her neck that asked me to marry him.
The Engagement Ring
George had my engagement ring made, and I absolutely love it. He chose an emerald-cut diamond with delicate side stones and a simple band, which feels so timeless and elegant. It’s exactly the style I would have chosen for myself, which makes it even more special that he got it so right.
Our Wedding
The Vision
I always wanted the day to feel timeless and elegant, but with a modern, relaxed feel. We kept everything very neutral and understated, using lots of white, natural textures, and greenery to complement the venue rather than take away from it. More than anything, I wanted it to feel effortlessly beautiful, intimate, and completely true to us.
Our Team of Vendors
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better team of vendors, and so much of that was down to our incredible wedding planner, Talia. She put together the most amazing team and completely understood our vision from the beginning. Planning a wedding abroad could have been incredibly stressful, but she took so much of that away from us and made the whole process feel effortless. Every single person involved in our day was amazing. Everyone we worked with in Mallorca was so welcoming, kind, and willing to do anything they could to make the day everything we had imagined. There was such a lovely feeling that everyone genuinely cared about making it special for us. Without Talia and the incredible team she brought together, the wedding simply wouldn’t have been what it was, and we’ll always be so grateful to them all.
The Location
We chose Can Axartell, a beautiful vineyard in Mallorca. From the moment we saw it, we completely fell in love with the venue. We loved the contrast between the natural Mallorcan surroundings and the modern, understated architecture. It felt so unique and was the perfect setting for the relaxed yet elegant wedding we had always imagined.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was probably the part of the day I was most nervous about, but the moment I walked down the aisle and saw George, all of those nerves disappeared. We wanted the setting to feel simple and intimate, with soft white draping, greenery, and white flowers that worked beautifully with the surroundings. Being there with all of our favorite people and finally saying our vows was such a special moment.
The Cocktail Hour
We wanted the cocktail hour to feel really relaxed, with everyone enjoying the Mallorcan sunshine, drinks, and beautiful surroundings. We also had live cooking stations, which we loved, as they made everything feel really social and gave our guests a chance to mingle and enjoy the food together. Seeing all of our favorite people in one place, with the vineyard and mountains around us, was such a special feeling.
The Reception
The reception was held inside the incredible space carved into the rock at Can Axartell. We kept the styling simple with long tables, white linens, and lots of greenery, allowing the space itself to really stand out. As the evening went on, the atmosphere completely changed, with lighting and projections filling the curved ceilings, and everyone was soon up out of their seats, dancing, laughing, and celebrating together. It was exactly the fun, unforgettable evening we had hoped for.
The Special Touches
We kept the special touches quite simple, with personalized fans and parasols to keep everyone cool in the Mallorcan sunshine. One of my favorite details was an idea from our incredible wedding planner, Talia, for the paper runner along the tables. She asked us questions about some of our favorite things and used our answers throughout the runner, which made it feel so personal to us and was such a lovely touch.
Our Favorite Moment
It’s so hard to choose just one moment, but I think sitting together at the reception and looking around at all of our favorite people in one place was incredibly special. Knowing everyone had traveled to Mallorca to celebrate with us and seeing how much fun they were having was such a surreal feeling. I remember thinking I just wanted to bottle that moment up forever.
Our Style
The Bridal Looks
I wore the Leighton gown by Danielle Frankel and completely fell in love with it. I decided not to have a second look — we didn’t get married until around 4 p.m. because of the Mallorcan heat, and I thought, you only get to wear your wedding dress once, so why would I want to take it off? I loved the structure and detail of the dress so much and wanted it to be the focus of my look.
I kept my jewelry very simple, with just small earrings and my engagement ring, as I didn’t want anything to overpower the dress. I wore Prada heels to complement the dress. For my hair and makeup, I wasn’t completely sure what I wanted, but Rebecca somehow knew exactly what would suit me. We kept everything simple, natural, and timeless, which felt completely like me.
The Groom's Look
George wore a tuxedo from Moss London, with an ivory double-breasted jacket, black trousers, and a black bow tie. He finished the outfit off with Christian Louboutin shoes. We loved the contrast of the ivory and black and felt it was a timeless look while still being perfect for a summer wedding in Mallorca. He kept everything else simple.
Our Bridesmaid's & Groomsmen's Looks
My bridesmaids wore dark chocolate satin dresses from Bec + Bridge. I wanted something simple, elegant, and timeless that complemented the neutral tones of the wedding while still giving a little contrast. The dresses felt effortless and worked beautifully with the overall look of the day — and most importantly, I wanted the girls to feel comfortable and amazing in them.
The groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos from Moss London, with white shirts and black bow ties. We wanted their look to feel timeless and effortless, while the black tuxedos allowed George’s ivory jacket to stand out. We loved how smart they all looked together and how well the black tied in with the bridesmaids’ dresses.
Our Advice
For the Planning Process
My biggest advice would be to try not to get too caught up in every little detail and remember what the day is actually about. It’s so easy to overthink things when you’re planning a wedding, but so many of the things you worry about beforehand really don’t matter on the day. For us, having an incredible wedding planner like Talia was also invaluable, especially when planning a wedding abroad. Having someone we completely trusted took so much of the pressure away and allowed us to actually enjoy the whole experience rather than feeling overwhelmed by it.
For On The Day
My biggest advice would be to just let go and enjoy every second. By that point, everything that can be planned has been planned, so trust the people around you and don’t worry about the little things. The day goes by so unbelievably quickly, so take moments throughout the day to stop, look around, and really take it all in. Having all of your favorite people together in one place is such a special feeling, and you want to remember it.
For Post-Wedding
I’d say give yourselves a little time to enjoy the newlywed bubble. After spending so long planning the wedding, it can feel strange when it’s suddenly all over. Keep talking about it, look through your photos, relive all the little moments, and enjoy hearing everyone else’s stories from the day. It really does go by so quickly, so hold onto that feeling for as long as you can.
