Count it as a sign from above and get ready to choose your next stop.
Lee Alexander McQueen: Mind, Mythos, Muse
Consider it a crime to miss out on the first McQueen exhibition on the West Coast. At the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) up until October, you can take a closer look at stunning pieces created by one of the most prominent fashion contributors. Though it opened back in April, the exhibition is still in demand. LACMA displays the best McQueen garments from Regina J. Drucker’s collection, kindly gifted to the museum, alongside artworks from its permanent collection. The exhibition concept is to examine the influence of mythology, nature, McQueen’s heritage and mastery in his works. If you want to delve into the artistic atmosphere, listen to the exhibition soundtrack created to reflect the designer's unique music taste that defined his runaway shows.

Barbara Kruger: Thinking of You. I Mean Me. I Mean You
Speaking of LACMA, don’t forget to look at the works of Los Angeles-based artist Barbara Kruger — her name has been taking a significant spot in contemporary art for decades. You might have heard of Kruger for her controversial opinion on streetwear brand Supreme, whose logo featuring white Futura text on a red box looks somewhat identical to the world-famous collages made by the artist. “Thinking of You. I mean Me. I Mean You” showcases the variety of Kruger’s creations: from video installations to immersive room-sized texts. This is the most comprehensive presentation of an artist's artwork in 20 years. Hurry up and don’t miss a chance — the exhibition is open until July 17th.
Diego Rivera’s America
Diego Rivera is a significant figure in Art History not only known for establishing the mural movement but also for his relationship with another painter, Frida Kahlo. "Diego Rivera’s America" is an upcoming July exhibition at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) dedicated to the Mexican painter. The event will bring together more than 150 paintings and drawings as well as large-scale projections of the artist's famous murals. The main focus is Rivera’s creations from 1920s to mid-1940s, which reflect his vision of North America through a series of his travels in Mexico and the U.S.
