We knew from our very first email communication with Kate that we wanted to work with her and it ended up being the absolute best decision we made in our wedding planning. Not only do we have the most stunning photos to reflect back on that truly remind us of the exact emotions we felt that day, Kate’s calming presence throughout our entire weekend of events was exactly what we needed. Kate is a true artist and her documentary-style approach to wedding photography is one that is so special and she was able to capture moments that we didn’t even notice ourselves. It has been weeks since our wedding, we’re still trying to choose favorites (we love them all!) and even our guests are still reflecting on how much they loved seeing her in her element, swiftly getting the most perfect shots, but also blending in so well. We cannot say enough great things about Kate as a person and her work, and we can’t wait for her to capture more milestone moments in our lives in the years to come.

Having Kate document our wedding was one of the greatest decisions I made during the wedding planning process, second only to choosing to marry my now husband, Eric. Even before I ever had wedding planning on my radar I had bookmarked Kate’s details after finding her through a friend who had gotten married the year before. Kate’s profile evoked everything I had imagined weddings should feel like, she has the unique ability to capture warmth, love, and joy through her camera. Kate’s work speaks for itself, if you are looking for a documentarian to capture the ambience, mood, and energy of your day you will love what she can capture for you! She will make sure to get the portraits of you and your loved ones but she will also capture all of the sweet moments you didn’t get to see because you were so busy, like a photo of your nephew crying as he walks down the aisle as ring bearer, your aunt’s dog being carried out onto the dance floor, or your friend’s son trying to get a good look at the bride and groom on top of his dad’s shoulders! Not only does Kate provide a great product but she is so wonderful to work with. Kate is professional and has a calming demeanor. I really wanted a photographer who would be able to take some photographs on camera’s I inherited from my grandfather. I am so grateful that we were able to honor his memory and that Kate was able to use his camera. These photos mean so much more to us! Overall, 10/10, 5 stars, A+ + +.

Kate manages to be in the right place at the right time to capture the moments during your wedding day that you’d otherwise miss — and when you see them, you live the entire day over again.
