She turned our wildest wedding dreams (Italian disco jungle?) into reality, while also remaining calm and confident through the ups and downs of planning a large event during a pandemic. While interviewing wedding planners, when we got off the phone with Kate, we turned to each other and immediately said, "We have to work with her." Her creativity and competence stood out to us, not to mention her energy and professionalism. 

 

Our Indian fusion wedding weekend was, to put it simply, a LOT, and Kate handled the complexity with aplomb. She planned a sangeet/welcome party that was essentially another wedding reception, a stunning ceremony, and our actual reception, not to mention a number of smaller ceremonies that required recall of and attention to innumerable details. She tirelessly went back and forth with our vendors to help us negotiate and fine tune proposals, and when we had some serious communication issues with our venue, part of a luxury hotel group, she pulled out the big guns, getting in touch with senior leadership of the group to make sure they were on top of it. At the same time (and without us knowing to save us the stress), she had even secured us a backup venue!

 

One of things I appreciated about Kate most was that while ultimately she would always respect our wishes, she didn't shy away from politely pushing back or giving her honest opinion when we needed or asked for it. This manifested in an event that was truly spectacular and one of kind - it felt current but also classic, without relying on any of the overly trendy wedding details that you see every day on Instagram.

Our friends, family, and even our vendors have consistently told us that it was one of the most stunning, fun, and unique weddings they have been to, and that is 100% thanks to Kate's creative vision and execution. Kate was a dream to work with for my wedding this year. She turned our dream into a reality (an even better reality than we envisioned)! She made every request come true, tracked down answers to our many questions, and made the entire planning process not only a breeze but fun! She was always very responsive and easy to get in touch with. Throughout the wedding weekend, we had multiple events that she and her team planned and executed perfectly - from a rehearsal dinner to a welcome party to the wedding!! Despite the challenges that come with a destination wedding, planning during COVID, and a new venue - Kate made the process so smooth on our end.

She was always one step ahead: from big things like ensuring that we locked down our caterer early because we cared a lot about the food, to small things like making sure we had parasols and fans for our guests when it turned out the weather was not going to cooperate and the temperature was going to exceed 90 degrees.

We managed to focus more on ourselves and take in the big moments during our wedding weekend, knowing that we were in her and her team’s capable hands.
