When Rubén and Jérémy dreamed of their wedding day, they imagined a celebration that felt as natural and refined as their love – something effortlessly elegant with a Mediterranean soul. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Vivood Hotel’s contemporary architecture and rolling Spanish hills, their wedding was a masterclass in minimalist luxury. With the expert touch of our members, wedding planners from La Federica, every detail was thoughtfully curated to create a warm, inviting atmosphere: from the striking 3-meter steel arch adorned with soft white hydrangeas, to a reception bathed in candlelight where fresh lemons replaced traditional floral centerpieces. The vibe was intimate yet grand, simple yet deeply meaningful – an authentic reflection of the couple’s style and story.
Our Love Story
The Day We Met
07.07.2019 in Alicante, Spain. Rubén had just returned from finishing his studies in Paris. Jérémy was coming back from his travels across Asia. After meeting each other on a dating app, we had lunch together on a hot summer day and went to a beach on the Costa Blanca. We were both at a turning point in our lives, looking for a fresh start—and that allowed us to quickly get on the same wavelength.
The Proposal
In March 2024, inspired by the weddings of some of our loved ones, we decided—almost jokingly during a romantic dinner together—to seal our union.
The Wedding Rings
Two rose gold wedding bands, simple and delicate—one polished, the other satin-finished. Engraved on the inside with our names. A gift from our mothers.
Our Wedding
The Vision
We wanted a wedding set in a Mediterranean landscape and atmosphere, with a touch of 1960s Italian style—all bathed in twilight and nighttime light.
Our Team of Vendors
We looked for partners who understood our vision and could help us bring this event to life. Our wedding planners, La Federica, supported us throughout the design and preparation process and coordinated this unforgettable day.
The Location
Vivood Hotel was the perfect backdrop for the Mediterranean world we envisioned. Its contemporary architecture blends beautifully into the surrounding landscape.
The Ceremony
We chose a light-hearted ceremony with a few subtle nods to the Christian values of marriage, led by our master of ceremonies. A string quartet filled the air with emotion between each speaker. We wanted the setting to speak for itself—the mountains, the light, the silence.
Julia proposed a 3-meter-tall steel arch, something architectural that created a clean, sculptural focal point within the landscape. At its base, she added a cloud-like arrangement of timeless white hydrangeas, almost like a sculpture growing from the ground. The aisle wasn’t lined with flowers—it was framed by our favorite people. That felt more meaningful than anything else.
The Reception
The cocktail took place at sunset in a sophisticated atmosphere among the Mediterranean trees on the estate. We were able to enjoy our guests and moments of reunion. For dinner, we wanted something intimate and unfussy—a long table where everyone could feel connected. Our designers suggested soft, draped linen and candlelight at different heights to create a warm, glowing atmosphere as the sun set.
We skipped flowers and filled the table with fresh lemons instead—a nod to summer and simplicity. Everything felt natural and effortless, but deeply considered. It was exactly the kind of dinner we’d always imagined: beautiful, joyful, and full of laughter.
Our Favorite Moment
A joyful entrance into the dinner area followed those solemn moments. The long banquet table was truly impressive, and the candlelit dinner atmosphere felt magical.
Our Style
The Grooms’ Looks
Rubén wore a double-breasted suit in 100% chocolate brown linen from Solbiati, the linen division of Loro Piana. The silhouette was contemporary with strong classical inspiration, crafted by Momos Tailors. He paired it with a crisp white cotton shirt and a handmade Italian tie in grenadine silk. The look was completed with a pair of Morjas loafers.
Jérémy chose a straight-cut three-piece suit in stone-colored 100% Solbiati linen. The look was understated and elegant, complemented by a white shirt and a custom-made grey tie. The look was completed with a pair of Finsbury brown grained leather loafers.
Our Advice
For the Planning Process
Create a schedule with a timeline and key milestones to maintain a clear overview of the project’s progress throughout the entire process.
For On The Day
Delegate all possible tasks for the big day. Find someone to guide the guests through each stage of the event. Hire one or more photographers. Make a slow entrance into the ceremony and exchange glances with as many guests as possible to soak in all the love surrounding you.
