Sun-drenched Mallorca provided the ultimate backdrop for Daphne and Matthew’s effortlessly chic black-tie celebration, a multi-day wedding that balanced refined elegance with relaxed Mediterranean ease. Hosted at the historic finca Son Togores just outside Palma, the couple’s vision came to life through thoughtful event design and a warm, destination-led atmosphere that felt both intimate and expansive. The courtyard ceremony was softly layered with white and green florals, allowing the beauty of the stone architecture to shine. Daphne’s custom Christian Siriano gown – French satin with sculptural draping, a dramatic back train, and a satin-edged veil – set the tone for a fashion-forward yet timeless aesthetic, perfectly complemented by classic black-tie tailoring from Matthew. As golden hour gave way to candlelit tables and Spanish traditions, guests moved seamlessly from garden cocktails to a sunset dinner filled with music, texture, and personality. Every detail reflected a celebration designed to feel elevated but never overworked – an immersive, joy-filled weekend that captured the spirit of Mallorca and the couple’s shared sense of style.

Our Love Story
The Day We Met
We met over a decade ago through mutual friends after a dinner party in London. It was a fun evening with a small group of friends, and we left with a great impression of each other. A few years passed as our careers became more international. Daphne was modeling between Paris, London, New York, and Milan, and Matthew was traveling for work as an advertising producer. We kept running into each other along the way. After a few of those chance encounters, we finally went on a date—to a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert! We made each other laugh from the start and quickly realized we could have fun together anywhere.
The Proposal
Matthew planned a hiking trip to Zion, Utah, over Thanksgiving, as seeing the canyons had always been a dream, and hiking has always been a big part of my life (Daphne). On our last day, we hiked Angels Landing, which ended up being the toughest hike of the trip. By the end of the day, we reached a lookout just as the sun was setting, and that’s where Matthew asked the question. It was such a pure, beautiful moment, with no one else around—just the canyons glowing in the golden hour.
The Engagement Ring
There can be so much pressure to choose the “perfect” engagement ring, and honestly, we didn’t really know what that looked like for us at first. Matthew felt a bit overwhelmed trying to find the right stone, but he ended up choosing a thin, chic platinum band with an oval stone and a delicate set of diamonds tucked underneath. It felt timeless, elegant, and completely us.
Our Wedding
The Vision
From the start, we envisioned a once-in-a-lifetime weekend that brought all our loved ones together from around the world in a beautiful, warm setting. Coming from rainy cities, we knew we wanted somewhere summery—an island that felt like a true destination, yet was still easy for our international friends to reach. Our vision was black-tie chic: a celebration that felt elegant, sophisticated, and completely effortless.
Our Team of Vendors
Our planner, Andrea, was incredibly resourceful and guided us through choosing the vendors that were the best fit for our wedding. Our catering was by FOSH, the team behind chef Marc Fosh, and the bar was Arlequin, who also run the fun cocktail bar in Palma’s old town.

The Location
Choosing the location was the complicated part! We considered everywhere from Belgium to the UK, France, Greece, and the US before Mallorca suddenly clicked. Our first holiday together was on the Spanish island—the place we truly fell in love—so celebrating our wedding there felt beautifully full-circle. After spending a few weeks visiting venues and becoming completely enchanted by Mallorca’s fincas, the moment we visited Son Togores just outside Palma city, it was instantly clear it was the one. It felt like something out of a dream.
With the main venue secured, we then turned to finding the perfect spots for pre-wedding welcome drinks and the post-wedding pool party. Bar Abaco, an opulent bar and garden known for its extravagant décor and great cocktails—and a favorite from our previous Mallorca trips—became the natural choice for the welcome drinks. For the pool party, the stunning Sa Casa Bona in the Alaró area of the island was a perfect match.

The Ceremony
Our non-religious ceremony took place in the late afternoon in the courtyard at the heart of Son Togores. It was led by one of our best friends, with live guitar music setting the perfect mood. The flowers were white and green with a soft touch of peach, blending beautifully with the courtyard scenery. Daphne wore a stunning custom French satin Christian Siriano dress with a back train and a long veil trimmed in satin—a mix of elegance, drama, and sophistication.
Our siblings shared some words about our commitment, and we wrote our own vows, making it a very personal and heartfelt moment. We did feel a little sorry for our guests in black tie under the July sun, but it was worth it—it was absolutely beautiful!
The Cocktail Hour
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a selection of our favorite summer cocktails and Spanish canapés in the gardens by the finca pool during golden hour. Daphne detached the train and veil from her ceremony dress, adding a chic neck scarf.
The Reception
Following cocktails and canapés, our guests joined us for a sunset dinner, welcoming us to our table with the festive Spanish napkin-spinning tradition, el lanzamiento de la servilleta.
The Special Touches
We wanted to make music a special part of the day, so we had a Spanish guitarist playing during both the ceremony and reception, and a saxophone player at the dance party. Matthew wanted a tequila bar for our guests and a personalized neon sign to light up the party. We also made sure the food was some of the best on the island—the catering team from Marc Fosh were incredible. At our pool party, we had paella and a mechanical bull ride, which was great fun and tied perfectly into the Spanish theme!
Our Favorite Moment
The cava tower at the end of dinner was unforgettable. Daphne wore her first party look: a short Christian Siriano dress with pearls and crystals, paired with a long ponytail. We poured the cava at the top of the stairs as friends and family cheered—a perfect start to an evening of dancing! We both handed out glasses to our guests before everyone hit the dance floor.
Our Style
The Bridal Looks
As a model, I’ve worn countless looks, but for our wedding, I wanted to feel like myself—just elevated, elegant, and chic. All my bridal looks were custom-designed by our friend (and wedding guest) Christian Siriano. For the ceremony, I wore a French satin strapless corseted dress with draping, a long back train, and a satin-trimmed veil; sophisticated, dramatic, and sculptural.
I had two party looks: a short asymmetric sparkle dress and a loose sequin dress with twirling feather details. Jewelry was custom by Rare Carat and Josh Levkoff, hair by Joeri Rouffa, and makeup by Elien Opdebeeck. For the welcome drinks and pool party, I wore short Siriano dresses and a Devon Windsor swimsuit, paired with Agmes jewelry.
The Groom Looks
Classic tuxedo and bow tie—black tie!
Our Advice
For the Planning Process
Fall in love with a beautiful venue. Once that’s set, all the other aesthetic decisions become so much easier. Prioritize what matters most to you as a couple; not every trend or detail needs to be included. Keep a running checklist to track decisions, deadlines, and payments.
For On The Day
Stick together as a couple throughout the day, or you’ll both be pulled in different directions. Don’t disappear from the dance floor—as the bride and groom, you set the energy, and the guests will follow. Doing a “first look” before the ceremony takes some of the pressure off and creates private, intimate moments. For the groom, bring a spare shirt to change into during dinner, especially if it’s a hot summer wedding!
For Post-Wedding
Doing a post-wedding pool party the following day gave us extra time to catch up with friends and family, which is nearly impossible during the main day.
