Rita Ora & Taika Waititi
Singer-songwriter Rita Ora and filmmaker Taika Waititi marked the one-year anniversary of their marriage by revealing never-before-seen photos from their secret wedding. The love story that began in 2021 took a beautiful turn last summer when Rita, in a sweet twist, proposed to Taika! The couple tied the knot in August in an intimate, impromptu ceremony held in Los Angeles with just eight close friends and family. For the big day, the bride wore a gorgeous Tom Ford dress complemented by Lorraine Schwartz jewels, while the groom donned a Brunello Cucinelli suit. After exchanging vows, the newlyweds enjoyed dinner at their friend Guy Oseary's house.
Joey King & Steven Piet
Actress Joey King said “I do” to director Steven Piet last month on the sun-kissed island of Mallorca. The two met on the set of the Hulu series The Act, and quickly formed a bond. After three wonderful years of dating, Steven proposed to Joey during their romantic getaway. For their wedding venue, the couple picked La Fortaleza, a historic fortress turned villa high on a hill. Throughout the wedding weekend, Joey stunned guests with four beautiful looks, each carefully chosen from Oscar de la Renta's bridal collection. But the showstopper was undoubtedly her ceremony gown, featuring a dramatic strapless neckline and large fabric flower-petal paillettes. Meanwhile, Steven looked elegant in his Brunello Cucinelli suit. The wedding weekend was filled with happy tears, laughs, pool jumps and non-stop partying.
Sofia Richie & Elliot Grainge
Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge's wedding was one of the most talked-about celebrations of the year. The American model and a British music executive have known each other since childhood, and in 2022 announced their engagement. The two married this past April at the ultra-exclusive Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes. The trio of dresses for Sofia were exclusively designed by Chanel. For the rehearsal dinner, the model donned a beaded gown with a high neckline and delicate sheer sleeves. For the ceremony, she looked gorgeous in a lace-embroidered halter gown with sequin appliqués, and for the reception, she rocked a lovely mini dress with a camellia flower on the front. The star-studded wedding guest list included the bride's famous father, Lionel Richie, and the couple's close friends like Paris Hilton, Cameron Diaz, and Benji Madden.
Brabra Palvin & Dylan Sprouse
Actor Dylan Sprouse and Hungarian model Barbara Palvin became husband and wife this past July. The lovebirds tied the knot in a church in Albertirsa, the very same place where Barbara's parents got married 34 years ago. Originally, the couple wanted a small celebration with just close friends and family, but the guest count jumped to over 100! Following the sentimental church ceremony, the pair also had a civil service on the grounds of picturesque Harlekin Birtok, owned by Barbara's parents. The bride put a lot of thought into her wedding wardrobe and decided to change not just once, but three times throughout the celebration. She started off with a classic Vivienne Westwood, switched to a midi dress with a crisscross back by Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafin, and wrapped up the day in a gorgeous red dress by Hungarian brand Mero. As for Dylan, he kept it classy with an elegant tux.
Taylor Hill & Daniel Fryer
Former Victoria’s Secret angel Taylor Hill married her long-time partner entrepreneur Daniel Fryer in June. The wedding was held at Devil's Thumb Ranch, an eco-luxe resort in Colorado. One of the day's most touching moments was the bride's grandfather officiating the ceremony. Taylor walked down the aisle in a custom off-the-shoulder gown, the first-ever bridal creation by Etro. What truly caught everyone's attention, though, was the bride's choice of footwear. The model decided to say "I do" barefoot as she wanted to feel connected to the earth. As for Daniel, he donned a classic British morning suit, the same one from his college days. The day wrapped up with a lively after-party that went on until the early hours of the morning.
Bridget Bahl & Michael Chiodo
Fashion influencer Bridget Bahl and Dr Michael Chiodo were first introduced to each other five years ago by their mutual friends. After years of dating, the couple joyfully said their 'I dos' this past August in the heart of where it all began, New York City. Their dreamy ceremony took place at the scenic 620 Loft & Garden, followed by a reception in The Plaza’s Edwardian Room. Bridget teamed up with celebrity stylist Micaela Erlanger for all her wedding looks. The bride dazzled in two Oscar de la Renta dresses – one for the ceremony and another for the reception. For the after-party, she wore a 1994 Dior corset dress. Being the creative director of her own fashion line, Bridget designed gowns for each of her seven bridesmaids.
Hannah Godwin & Dylan Barbour
"Bachelor in Paradise" stars Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour also took their love story to the next chapter this year. The couple exchanged vows at the Chateau de Villette, a historic estate just 40 miles outside Paris. To celebrate their big day, the couple invited 145 guests, including closest friends and family. Hannah walked down the aisle to the tune of "Can't Help Falling in Love" wearing an elegant double lingerie satin dress by Atelier Pronovias. She later switched into two other outfits for the occasion: a strapless dress with a ruched bodice and a sequined piece with a halter neck, both by the same brand. The groom swapped his black tuxedo jacket for a white one.
Georgia Fowler & Nathan Dallah
Model Georgia Fowler and CEO of Fishbowl Nathan Dalah hosted a multi-day wedding in January this year. The two married at Hopewood House in the scenic Australian countryside. Georgia's bridesmaids were elegantly dressed in Tiffany & Co. and Paris Georgia, while Nathan wore a suit by Patrick Johnson. As for Georgia? She opted for three different wedding dresses: a custom strapless dress from Vivienne Westwood, a vintage tulle gown by Danielle Frankel, and a ruched mini dress from her brother-in-law's eponymous label, Jordan Dalah.
Emilie Lindmark & Gerard Sabé
Swedish Fashion-influencer Emilie Lindmark tied the knot with her partner, Armani model Gerard Sabé, this past June. The sweethearts exchanged vows at the historic Santa Maria de Valldonzella monastery in Barcelona. The celebrations rolled on with a grand dinner at the gorgeous Bell Recó estate. Emilie donned three different gowns during the day, each designed in close collaboration with the Spanish fashion house Rosa Clará. The bride entered the church in a sheath-style dress embroidered with micro-beadwork. Emilie's second look, a sari-inspired dress, was a nod to her Sri Lankan heritage. For the evening party, she chose a silk satin dress with a V-neckline and open back. And the groom? Gerard looked just as dashing in his morning suit.
Anya Taylor-Joy & Malcolm McRae
Last week The Queen’s Gambit actress, Anya Taylor-Joy married musician Malcolm McRae in a beautiful Italian wedding ceremony at the historic Palazzo Pisani Moretta. Over 150 friends and family were there to celebrate, including the couple's celebrity friends like Cara Delevingne, Julia Garner, Aimee Carrero, Keleigh and Miles Teller, and Nicholas Hoult. For her big day, Anya chose a custom-made Dior gown in a dreamy beige color. It was adorned with delicate bird & floral embroidery and featured beautiful sparkling details. The look was complete with a floor-length tulle veil. Though the official wedding photos are yet to be released, we're pretty sure that the whole celebration was beyond splendid.
