Entrepreneur Eva Garzón’s Elegant Mallorca Wedding in a Breathtaking Open-Air Cathedral

For a luxury real estate entrepreneur and content creator Eva Garzón, and her husband Pablo, their Mallorca wedding was never meant to feel like an event that could have happened anywhere. Every choice was rooted in the places, memories, and aesthetic they share — from the island’s natural beauty to the food, music, flowers, and layered event design. Finca Da Torre became the perfect blank canvas for their vision, transformed with elegant florals, atmospheric lighting, and distinct spaces that made the celebration feel immersive without ever overwhelming its surroundings. Eva’s bridal wardrobe brought its own sense of fashion and personality: a romantic, lace Galia Lahav gown with a dramatic train for the ceremony, followed by a sleek halter-neck look designed for the party. The result was a wedding that felt polished yet personal, where every detail had a reason to be there — and Mallorca remained at the heart of it all.

Our Love Story

The Day We Met

Our story began years ago in Madrid, where we met very naturally, without imagining everything that would come later. Some time after that, our paths crossed again in Miami, and that was really where our story began. What started as a friendship slowly became something much deeper. From very early on, I felt there was something different about Pablo, a connection that was difficult to explain. By the time we got married, we had been together for three and a half years, although the idea of building a life together had felt natural to us long before then.

The Proposal

Pablo proposed in the Sierra de Gredos, a place that has been very special to me since childhood and holds so many personal memories. We were horseback riding when he completely surprised me with the proposal. I genuinely had no idea it was coming, so it was one of those moments when it takes you a few seconds to fully understand what is happening. The fact that he chose a place with so much meaning to me made it even more unforgettable.

The Engagement Ring

I had mentioned to Pablo before that I had always loved Princess Diana’s engagement ring and that, if that moment ever came for us, I imagined something inspired by that style. He remembered that conversation and had my ring made by Suárez. When I saw it, I was completely in shock. I couldn’t believe he had remembered something I had mentioned so long before and transformed that idea into something that felt so personal to us.

Our Wedding

The Vision

From the beginning, we wanted the wedding to feel elegant, romantic, and timeless, but above all, deeply connected to Mallorca. We didn’t want to create something that could have taken place anywhere. We wanted to embrace the natural beauty and character of the island and allow our guests to really feel where they were. Finca Da Torre was essentially a blank canvas when we began designing the celebration, which gave us the freedom to imagine every space from the ground up. From the flowers to the lighting, every detail was carefully considered to create an immersive and magical atmosphere while still respecting the natural beauty of the surroundings. We also wanted the wedding to feel like much more than a single day. So many of our guests were traveling from different parts of the world, and we wanted the entire weekend to feel like an experience we could share with them.

Our Team of Vendors

Planning the wedding was intense, exciting, and much more enjoyable than I had imagined. We were very fortunate to work with Mille Papillons, who understood our vision from the very beginning. There were so many elements to coordinate because we weren’t thinking only about the wedding day itself, but about the entire weekend and the experience of guests arriving from different countries. Together with Aquilea Flores, we envisioned something elegant and timeless that felt deeply connected to Mallorca, and I designed my bouquet with Cristina Aquilea. Of course, there were stressful moments, but when I look back, what I remember most is the excitement of watching all of those ideas that had existed only in our imagination slowly come to life.

The Location

Mallorca has always held a very special place in our story. It’s somewhere we return to often and where we have shared some of our happiest memories together. When we started thinking about where we wanted to get married, choosing Mallorca felt completely natural. More than simply inviting our friends and family to a wedding, we wanted to share a place that has become part of our life together and let them experience the island in the way that we love it. The celebrations began with a pre-wedding gathering at La Residencia in Deià, and over the following days, friends and family arrived from Miami, New York, Dubai, Madrid, and many other places. Some hadn’t seen one another in years, while others met for the first time that weekend, and watching everyone connect over those days was incredible.

The Ceremony

We were married at Iglesia Nova de Son Servera. Music was especially important to us because we wanted the ceremony to include songs that genuinely meant something to us. We entered to music from Gladiator, one of our favorite films, and also included a song by Andrea Bocelli, an artist we both love.

One of the moments I will never forget was walking into the church and seeing Pablo waiting for me at the end of the aisle. I had imagined that moment hundreds of times, but experiencing it was completely different. For a few seconds, the months of planning, the nerves, and everything happening around us seemed to disappear. I could only see him and all of the people we loved surrounding us.

The Cocktail Hour

We wanted even the cocktail hour to tell part of our story and represent places that have been meaningful in our lives. Through the food, we combined traditional dishes from Mallorca with specialties from Ávila, bringing two different influences together in a way that felt very personal to us. The music evolved with the atmosphere as well. We started with a jazz group, which created a more relaxed and elegant mood, and later transitioned into something much bolder and more energetic that really encouraged everyone to loosen up and start celebrating even before the party began.

The Reception

The reception took place at Finca Da Torre. One of the things we were most excited about was completely transforming the space. The finca was essentially empty when we began working on the design, which allowed us to create each environment from scratch. Together with Aquilea Flores, we envisioned something elegant and timeless that felt deeply connected to Mallorca. From the flowers to the lighting, every element was designed to complement the natural beauty of the finca rather than compete with it. We wanted our guests to feel as though they were discovering somewhere magical when they arrived, with each area having its own atmosphere and personality.

The Special Touches

One of the things that mattered most to us was making sure the wedding reflected our story without needing to explain every detail. We incorporated references to places that have been important in our lives, particularly Mallorca and Ávila, including through the food we served. Music was another way of telling our story, from Gladiator and Andrea Bocelli during the ceremony to “The Circle of Life” during one of the most symbolic moments of the evening. Rather than following one specific theme, we wanted the choices we made throughout the weekend to have meaning for us.

Our Favorite Moment

For me, one of the most special moments was walking into the church and seeing Pablo waiting for me. After so many months spent thinking about every detail, it was the moment when everything else suddenly stopped mattering. It was just the two of us, our families, our friends, and all the people who had been part of our story. I felt an overwhelming mixture of happiness, emotion, and gratitude. It’s a feeling I know I will never forget.

Our Style

The Bridal Looks

I had a very clear idea of what I wanted from the beginning: something romantic and very feminine, with lace as an important element and a dramatic train. I went to Galia Lahav with many references and a very defined vision, and from there, we worked together to transform those ideas into a completely personalized design. 

For the party, I wanted to create a real contrast with the ceremony gown. If my first look represented the more romantic and classic side of the wedding, I wanted the second to feel more modern, fitted, and, most importantly, comfortable enough to dance and enjoy the night. When I found the Berta halter-neck design, I immediately knew it was right. I still felt elegant, but it had a completely different energy that perfectly suited the second part of the evening.

The Groom Looks

Pablo wore three different looks throughout the wedding weekend, all created by Bow Tailors. For the wedding ceremony, he wore a morning suit designed especially for him. Later in the evening, he changed into a tuxedo, also made by Bow Tailors. We loved the idea of his wardrobe evolving throughout the different parts of the celebration, in the same way that mine did.

Our Bridesmaids’ Looks

I knew from the beginning that I didn’t want everyone dressed exactly the same. I wanted each of them to retain her own personality and feel like herself, so I preferred for them to wear different looks. I loved the result because even though they weren’t dressed uniformly, everything came together very naturally while still allowing each of them to feel individual.

Our Advice

For the Planning Process

I would tell them to have a lot of patience and, above all, to trust their intuition. When you’re planning a wedding, there are so many opinions, decisions, and little details that it can be easy to lose sight of the fact that, ultimately, it’s your day. I would also tell them to dedicate as much time to it as they want. It can be an intense process, but when the day finally arrives and you see everything you imagined come to life while surrounded by the people you love, every hour you invested feels completely worth it.

For On The Day

Let go of the details and simply live it. After months of planning, the day itself passes incredibly quickly, and the moments I remember most are the ones I allowed myself to be completely present for—walking into the church and seeing Pablo waiting for me, and looking around at everyone we love. Trust the people around you, too. Something will always need adjusting, whether it’s the heat, a dress, or the timing, and there was practically a small army making sure everything stayed exactly where it was supposed to. Once you accept that, you can stop worrying and start enjoying.

For Post-Wedding

We decided not to leave for our honeymoon immediately because our wedding coincided with the summer, and we wanted to spend that time in Europe with our friends and family. After the wedding, we stayed at the villa with friends for a few more days, which allowed us to extend the celebration a little and enjoy being together in a much more relaxed way after months of preparation. We’ve decided to save the honeymoon for later. We love the idea of taking it when we can really give it the time it deserves and enjoy it as a special trip of its own, rather than feeling like we had to rush away immediately after the wedding.
