Influencer Allegra Filippetti’s Italian Garden Wedding Was a Chic Fusion of Cinematic Romance & Fashion-Forward Style

In Rome, influencer Allegra Filippetti and her husband Nat Levy brought a distinctly modern sense of romance to Villa Miani, transforming the historic hilltop estate into an elegant celebration that felt both deeply personal and effortlessly cinematic. White florals, vintage gold candelabras, crystal glassware, and flickering candlelight played against the villa’s grand architecture, while long floral-lined tables and elevated arrangements gave the reception a refined, fashion-forward edge. The atmosphere shifted beautifully throughout the evening — from the emotion of an outdoor garden ceremony to the energy of a packed dance floor inside the villa. For Allegra, fashion was central to the visual story: after incorporating vintage Dior into her wedding morning, she walked down the aisle in Galia Lahav’s gown, styled with a simple blusher veil and an Audrey Hepburn–inspired detachable bow. Every element felt considered without becoming overly styled, creating a wedding that married Italian grandeur with a distinctly contemporary sensibility.

Our Love Story

The Day We Met

Nat owned a personal training studio literally around the corner from my house, and somehow we lived just steps apart for years without ever meeting until the timing was right. I was 22 when our worlds finally crossed, and it has always felt a little like an invisible-string story to me. What started as a simple connection very quickly became something much deeper, and we’ve been together ever since.

The Proposal

Nat planned the most intimate surprise in Ravello after taking me on a private tour along the Amalfi Coast. He brought me to a mountaintop villa overlooking the sea, where a chef prepared dinner, a violinist played, and a photographer captured everything. When the violinist started playing my favorite song, I knew what was coming, and when Nat proposed, we both cried the happiest tears.

The second he proposed, it started to rain, which somehow made the whole moment even more emotional. The next day, we traveled to Sicily, where he surprised me again by bringing my mom to celebrate with us. Italy has always been incredibly meaningful to me because of my family heritage, so it felt especially perfect that this chapter of our story began there.

Engagement & Wedding Rings

My engagement ring is a 4.5-carat GIA-certified oval diamond set in 18-karat white gold, with diamonds along the band and an under-halo detail. It was created by my friend and Los Angeles–based jeweler Ore, which made the process feel even more personal. My wedding band is a diamond eternity band featuring 28 oval-cut diamonds, each approximately 0.10 carat, for a total weight of 2.80 carats. The diamonds are set in a delicate shared-prong setting in 18-karat white gold, allowing maximum light to pass through each stone and creating a seamless circle of brilliance. It was designed by Ore to complement my engagement ring while still feeling striking enough to wear on its own.

Our Wedding

The Vision

We wanted the wedding to feel timeless, romantic, elevated, and deeply connected to Rome. I was very intentional about staying away from anything that felt overly trend-driven; I wanted the celebration to look just as beautiful years from now as it did in the moment. The overall vision was classic Italian romance with a fashion-forward point of view: beautiful architecture, candlelight, white florals, refined details, and then a completely different energy once the after-party began.

Our Team of Vendors

Our planner, Michelle Cundari of Sincerely Yours Events, was instrumental in bringing the entire weekend together. Mike Caringi of 515 Photo Co. photographed the celebrations, Desidero Weddings captured video, and Rachel A. Clingen led the floral and design work. It was a true collaboration between our Canadian team and an incredible group of Italian vendors. Everyone understood that we wanted the experience to feel beautiful and elevated, but also joyful, personal, and completely immersed in Rome.

The Location

Rome has always held such a special place in my heart. My family is from Italy, we travel there together often, and Nat also proposed to me in Ravello, so returning to Italy to begin our marriage felt like everything coming full circle. We chose Villa Miani because nothing else compared once I discovered it. The architecture, gardens, views over Rome, and sense of history felt cinematic without needing to be over-designed. It was timeless, dramatic, unmistakably European, and exactly what I had envisioned.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place outdoors in the gardens at Villa Miani beneath a traditionally draped chuppah surrounded by white florals. It was incredibly important to us that the ceremony represented both of our backgrounds, so we incorporated Jewish traditions that are meaningful to Nat alongside Catholic symbolism that is meaningful to me. 

For us, it was never about choosing one tradition over another. It was about honoring both of our families and faiths and creating something that felt unified and representative of the life we are building together.

The Cocktail Hour

After the ceremony, we wanted guests to have time to take in the setting and enjoy Rome before moving into dinner. The atmosphere felt relaxed and celebratory, with music, drinks, and the architecture of Villa Miani doing so much of the work naturally. It was that perfect transition between the emotion of the ceremony and the energy of the evening ahead.

The Reception

The reception took place in Villa Miani’s upper courtyard overlooking Rome. We kept the palette almost entirely white, with roses and hydrangeas, vintage gold candelabras, crystal glassware, and candlelight creating a setting that felt elegant and timeless without competing with the architecture. Long tables were covered in continuous floral runners, while round tables were balanced with taller candelabras, creating a mix of softness and structure. A live band played as the sun went down, and the entire evening felt incredibly romantic before transitioning into a much higher-energy after-party inside the villa.

The Special Touches

One of the most meaningful parts of the wedding was the way we blended our Italian and Jewish backgrounds throughout the celebration. From the chuppah and Jewish ceremony traditions to Israeli music and the horah, those moments made the weekend feel representative of both of our families and the life we are building together. Fashion was also a very personal part of the storytelling for me, with each look reflecting a different mood of the weekend. 

Our Favorite Moment

I keep replaying our first look in my head. We were both crying before we even saw each other, and after all the anticipation leading up to the wedding, that moment felt incredibly emotional and real. Throughout the year, there were so many times I wanted to show Nat my dress, so finally seeing his reaction meant the world to me. After years of talking about our wedding day and imagining what it would feel like, seeing each other before the aisle was one of the most intimate and special moments of the entire day.

Our Style

The Bridal Looks

Fashion was a major part of the entire weekend for me, and I loved that every look had a distinct personality. For an intimate family dinner at Hotel de Russie, I wore Jacquemus with coordinating Jacquemus accessories. For our welcome celebration at Villa Aurelia, I wore a lace Jaclyn Whyte bridal dress. On the wedding morning, I incorporated vintage Dior before changing into my Galia Lahav “Lady G” gown for the ceremony, paired with a simple blusher veil and an Audrey Hepburn–inspired detachable bow detail.

For the reception, I changed into Oscar de la Renta Look 13, a fitted lace gown with a high neck and dramatic ruffle detail at the back. For the after-party, I wore a Whyte Couture mini embroidered with our wedding crest and initials. My wedding-day jewelry included Tiffany pieces and heirloom diamond earrings from my grandmother, which were incredibly meaningful to wear.

The Groom Looks

Nat’s wardrobe was entirely bespoke and evolved throughout the celebrations. For the welcome events, he wore a black Zegna SilkSkin silk suit with a softly structured jacket and washed silk twill shirt. For the ceremony, he wore a bespoke black tuxedo in Caccioppoli Napoli virgin wool and mohair with a silk peak lapel, crisp tuxedo shirt, black silk bow tie, and silk braces. For the reception, he changed into an ivory double-breasted evening jacket in pure silk faille, paired with black Caccioppoli Napoli tuxedo trousers.

Our Bridesmaids’ & Groomsmen’s Looks

My bridesmaids wore Shona Joy La Lune gowns in Champagne Gold. I loved the soft neutral tone against the architecture and white florals because it felt elegant and cohesive without looking overly coordinated. The groomsmen wore classic black-tie tuxedos. We wanted the men’s styling to feel formal and timeless and allow the setting and women’s looks to stand out.

Our Advice

For the Planning Process

Stay true to your vision and try not to become overwhelmed by everything that is trending. There are so many decisions involved in a wedding, and I learned very quickly how much production goes into every single detail. The best thing we did was continually come back to what genuinely felt like us as a couple. Working with a team we trusted also allowed the process to stay creative and exciting rather than becoming purely logistical.

For On The Day

Stay present and in the moment, and don’t let anyone or anything take you out of it. Stay close to the people who make you feel safe, supported, and celebrated, and really take in both the small moments and the big ones. It truly was one of the most beautiful days of our lives, and we’re so grateful for how everything came together. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day.

Give yourself a little time to come down from the experience and enjoy being married before immediately jumping into what comes next. The wedding passes so quickly, and looking back at the photos and hearing everyone’s memories has been such a special way to experience parts of the weekend all over again.
