The 1975 frontman Matty Healy and model Gabbriette Bechtel are officially married. The couple exchanged vows on Saturday, July 18, at Castillo del Lago, the 1920s Spanish Colonial Revival mansion in the Hollywood Hills once owned by Madonna. Its romantic architecture and secluded hillside setting made it a natural fit for the couple’s fashion-forward take on a Los Angeles wedding.
The wedding weekend kicked off with a rehearsal dinner on Friday, after which the couple were seen leaving the Hollywood venue in a black Rolls-Royce convertible. The following day, the outdoor ceremony unfolded in the mansion’s garden, where a broad ivory aisle led to a raised platform framed by a pared-back arch and softly draped fabric. Low, mossy greenery traced either side of the walkway, creating an organic contrast to the ceremony’s crisp, architectural lines.
For the ceremony, Gabbriette wore a vintage-inspired white gown with a sculpted sweetheart neckline, elongated drop-waist bodice, ruffled long sleeves, and a voluminous skirt. A dramatic tulle veil was pinned into her half-up, half-down waves, adding softness to the silhouette without diluting her signature gothic edge. Healy kept things classic in a black tuxedo, bow tie, and white boutonniere.
The ceremony brought together the couple’s creative circle. Charli XCX attended with her husband George Daniel, Healy’s bandmate in The 1975, while Devon Lee Carlson arrived with her fiancé, Duke Nicholson. Also among those photographed at the wedding were Anastasia Karanikolaou, Fai Khadra, Alex Consani, Sydney Carlson, Tyrell Hampton, Alex O’Connor, and Quenlin Blackwell.
The newlyweds first sparked dating rumors in 2023 after being spotted kissing in New York City. They announced their engagement the following June, when Gabbriette revealed the custom black diamond ring Healy had chosen for her. Earlier this year, she fronted Jimmy Choo’s 2026 bridal campaign before bringing her bridal era to Las Vegas for a bachelorette weekend that began with vintage Chanel.
