In an interview with us, Georgia and Kara talked about their philosophy, memorable experiences, and wedding trends.
What inspired you to start this business and how did you get started?
After 16 years spent working across all aspects of the events industry respectively – and having crossed paths several times during this time – we decided to join forces and combine our skills. We knew there was a need for a reimagined wedding planning service, and we were both passionate about defining a unique aesthetic of our own.
How would you define Studio White's style?
Our weddings are authentic, stylish and timeless. We always push boundaries and like to inject imagination, wit and charm into our events. It goes without saying that every detail will be meticulously crafted to ensure a seamless, impeccable result.
What is your philosophy when it comes to planning a wedding and how do you ensure that the couple's vision is executed flawlessly?
The first step to success is understanding your client. We work tirelessly to identify client needs, immerse ourselves in their vision and embrace their unique qualities. These fluent working relationships enable us to create unforgettable, original experiences, time and time again.
What are some of the greatest places your job has taken you to?
We love designing destination weddings and our work takes us all over the world. From New York and Italy to Mexico and Scotland, we’ve been fortunate enough to get to know some sensational places and have created a network of stellar international contacts. Next up? An event in India beckons, which we are incredibly excited about.
What funny or memorable experiences have you had with your clients?
We’ve been fortunate enough to work with really wonderful clients over the years and while each relationship brings unique challenges, they bring plenty of humour and joy too. We began planning a certain wedding pre-Covid, and by the time the wedding date finally came to fruition, some two years later, a monumental amount of change had taken place – think two new babies, new relationships (and divorces), new addresses in various different countries…it was a completely different set up in the end, and a testament to expecting the unexpected!
How do you stay up-to-date with the latest wedding trends? What are some of your favourites?
Our events are driven by style, luxury and elegance. Every wedding we design is completely bespoke. We always try to create new themes and set trends of our own. This philosophy allows us to create unique, bespoke experiences that surprise and delight our clients and their guests and leave a lasting impression.
