Lovers, best friends, and creative partners, Brazilian couple Maria Eugênia Amorim & Nico Moraes Amorim have built a life—and a loyal online following of over 3 million—together. As proud members of the LGBTQIA+ community, they’re no strangers to challenging conventions. The couple's decision to elope was a powerful, personal choice, and a way to protect the intimacy of such a sacred moment.
Maria & Nico's special photoshoot in the heart of Paris, with its timeless aesthetic and striking contrast to their alternative style, feels like a quiet manifesto—an unspoken invitation for other couples, especially within the LGBTQIA+ community, to dream freely, love unapologetically, and redefine tradition on their own terms.
How We Met
Maria Eugênia first reached out for a meeting. It was supposed to be business—nothing more. But just minutes into our conversation, everything changed. I didn’t expect to fall in love. Yet from the start, it felt like I had always known her.
Every time we met again, the connection grew stronger—until we were in a kind of love that’s hard to explain. The kind you don’t see coming. The kind that just happens. And the most incredible part? She felt it too.
The Proposal
We moved in together after just a month, and by the third, I already wanted to propose. Maria Eugênia asked me to wait at least six—so I waited five. There was no plan, no ring, just a sunset and a feeling too big to hold in.
We were at the beach, the sky melting into gold when I looked at her and knew I never wanted to do life without her. So I asked, and she said yes. We picked out a beautiful ring later, but it was that raw, unpolished moment that made it unforgettable.
The Elopement
For our elopement we chose Paris, a place that never goes out of style, always bathed in elegance and light. Extravagance wasn’t the goal; presence, meaning, and a beauty that would age gracefully with us were. It wasn’t about saving money either—it was about choosing something timeless. What we craved was something eternal, a feeling that transcends seasons. And Paris embodies that kind of permanence.
The Photoshoot
It was our first time working with a team outside Brazil, photographer Sasha Dove and videographer Salamatin Video. We were a little nervous—would they understand us? Would they really see us? Then the photos came in—and there we were, completely ourselves. Laughing, soft, real. We didn’t want a concept or a mood board. We just wanted something honest and beautiful—the way love looks when no one’s watching.
